Is it true that there are some people you just never forget? Remember your first love? I do, my first love is actually my current love. As teenagers we were passionately in love (You all know how that goes), believed it to be a forever kind of love. Unfortunately life caught up with us and took us through different paths. Broken up at 17 I never saw him again…until three years ago. As the years went by I would find myself thinking about him during poignant moments in my life. When we finally saw each other again it was like being 16 and in love again. Its been three years and we are still going strong. A friend of mine told me that there are some people that you just can’t ever forget. Soulmates, she calls them. She believes we all a soulmate, but that we aren’t always lucky enough to end up with them. I don’t know about soulmates…the idea that there is only one perfect person out there for you is a little mind-blowing. I mean, with so many people in the world how will you know your soulmate? What if he/she lives in a different part of the world? What if you soulmate chooses someone else?
They won’t she says…what’s meant for you, no one will take. Destiny will take you halfway and its up to you to do the rest.
Tricky business this love thing right?

I totally agree. I will never forget the girl I grew up with and loved. My life was sooo...the wonder years. One girl, from 16 to 21...then she was gone to University far away. :( The strange thing is I truely feel its not just because she was my first love that I feel this way about her. I haven't gotten along with anyone like this ever again. I guess I am a believer of soulmates. -
