Is junk food a part of your life?
Do you enjoy eating pizza, hamburgers, potato chips, french fries...?
The reason why junk food is so popular is because it's relatively cheap to manufacture, easy to purchase, is convenient to consume, and has a lot of flavor because of it's high fat, sodium, or sugar content.
A new report on American eating habits reveals that almost a quarter of the calories consumed by americans come the junk food section.
Since junk food is high in fats and sugars, it is a leading cause of obesity, dental cavities, increasing cases of Type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, etc.
With the side effects of junk food on my mind I ask myself "Can I live without it?" and the answer is "I could live without it but I choose not too".
Can you live without it?

Yes, I've successfully cut it out of my diet about 3 years ago, at the age of 19. I've had 2 big macs in the last 3 years, and a little pizza here and there. But mostly, it's home cooking and sushi if I go out (or a sandwich). -

I have high cholesterol and I should be cutting down on junk food. but i seriously cant live without it. I've been in Ottawa for the summer and have been making my lunches every day so I'm not eating junk food so much (i used to eat mcds at least once a week, i think i've only been like 3 times since the beginning of the summer). It has saved me ALOT of money too. However, i don't know if i'll be able to keep this up once university starts again in a month. my campus is smack in the middle of downtown and there are alot of tempting restaurants to go to. hopefully i'll get the strength to stop abusing of these places. its pretty bad...=S -

I cut down on it too but I just feel the need for a cheeseburger or a pizza somethime. And sometimes I eat junk food becouse I go out with friends somewhere and someone decides he wants a pizza and we all end up buying one. Narbeha, I'm glad you managed to cut it out of your diet. Hope I will do the same thing in the near future. -
