Political wives,powerful rich wives. What makes these women tick? Do you think they invest so much in these men that they fuse their identities with their husbands'? How do you sit there with a smile when someone says:"I'm a gay American?" How do you sit there when your hubby admits his folleys to the world? Do you consider these women strong,naive,or just out right stupid?

I'm sure they marry them in part or wholly for power, position and money.I find it curious that we look at them as unnatural when if a man married for the same motives we'd admire him for being realistic or smart. -

from my view - these types of women were playing the game as much as anything. they sought power and felt (right or wrong) that they could not attain the power they sought on their own (for whatever reasons...right or wrong) so they married someone who either HAD the power they wanted or who they felt could/would GET that power. And so they played the game, acted supportive in public, etc. in order to get what they wanted. In these cases, they simply "bet on the wrong horse". But that is just my view - I am sure there are some who actually married for love...the odds say there has to be some...I just don't know if these were them (so to say) -
