Tomorrow Olia and I are going on a road trip to meet my friend Diana and her five kids at a hotel halfway between where we both live.  Today Olia and I went to the movies and watched the movie Road Trip.  It is a G rated movie about a girl going on a road trip with her dad to visit Georgetown University.  Olia loved the movie and giggled throughout it.  She always claps at the end of the movie or the resolution of an event, it is really cute when she does that.  Before we went to the movies, we stopped at the drugstore to buy hair products for Olia. Olia kept saying, I am so happy about the hair things when we left the drugstore. Olia sees Renee put all sorts of products in her hair so she wants to do the same thing.  Now that she was a cute haircut from the beauty parlor, she wants it to shine and sparkle. She bought mousse and hair shine/spray.  She has such beautiful hair that she doesn't really need any hair products, but she wants to use them. Olia is definitely influenced by packaging!  She chose the sparkly containers.

     Today Olia received a thank you note from my friend Jackie for Valentine candy.  I had to laugh to myself when she read the card from Jackie to her friend Katelyn.  Olia said, oh, this is from MY FRIEND Jackie.  Olia considers my friends her friends.

      This morning Olia answered me freshly a few times.  I told her that she was being fresh and rude and she had better stop.  Then I told her she had to help empty the dishwasher.  She freshly asked......why do I have to do it?  I made it quite clear to her in my MOM VOICE that she had to do it because she was a member of the family and she had to help with the jobs.  She quickly ran out to empty the silverware and said "sorry." Olia does NOT like the MOM VOICE.  But I didn't think she was really sorry so I set the timer and wouldn't talk to her for twenty minutes.  She can't stand when I do that so she kept apologizing.  After the twenty minutes, I told her that I forgave her, but she had to stop being fresh.  Olia needs to suffer consequences for her actions so that she stops the inappropriate behavior.
