the US supreme court is hearing arguments on a case, district of columbia v. heller, in which the defendant (heller) is charged with having a firearm in his home, in violation of district law. the law is being challenged as unconstitutional and an infringement of the second amendment, which i have to say it most certainly seems to be.
i don't know how many of you are interested in the matter, but a useful source a friend of mine elsewhere shared is SCOTUSblog.
i know we've all discussed gun ownership vs. gun control in the past, but i think that the court's decision in this case will be very, very relevant to all sides of the argument.
