(yes, i know i just dated myself by using the word "records". :p)
after i wrote that blog entry yesterday about tae kwon leap, i got to thinking about how i first encountered that routine, and indeed, novelty records: dr. demento.
i was turned on to the dr. demento show by a good friend of mine. if you aren't familiar with it, he runs a weekly 2 hour show during which he plays novelty music and recordings--such as tae kwon leap, by the frantics, or wet dream, by kip addotta.
novelty stuff has really taken off since those days--when i can see weird al on MTV, surely that has to mean something, right? accordingly, i refuse to believe that i'm the only soulcaster who has an interest in novelty music. c'mon, i know there have to be a few soulcasters who share my interest in it.
right?
