To anyone who thinks that dire predictions of economic failure is an  alarmist or "sky is falling" syndrome take heed.

 

When major banks begin to fail (Bear and Sterns) and the dollar crumbles to new lows against the worlds currency .. then we have a problem.

 

We took away America's sense of self sufficieny a long time ago. We (our Government) lowered the trade barriers (tariffs) against countries that employ slave labor tactics. We endorsed and encourage NAFTA which has been one huge debacle of trade. We encouraged world trade to the point we can no longer find 2 of 10 items made in America in any leading discount store.

 

To those that discounted my words a few weeks ago: Look now.

 

We are in huge trouble as a nation, a society and a functioning enviornment.

 

Corporate America runs this nation as opposed to the "people". If you doubt this then go again and hide your head under your Chinese made pillow.

 

Ask yourself why amidst all this clamor and trouble over the economy why you have not heard from your Senator or Conressmen? Why have they suddenly become so silent?

What, no speeches about how you are working overtime to "correct" the situation?

 

Friends.. put your computer skills to work. Contact your congressional representative and not suggest but DEMAND that we take action now.

 

An economist this morning said , in no uncertain terms, "...this is not a bump in the road, this is not a recession but this is a depression that may be as devistating as the '20's".

 

If THEY feel that way .. why don't you feel that way?

 

The self sufficient, self reliant American of two genearations ago is no longer with us. We cannot be such anymore. We rely on everyone else to provide for us. Food, energy, clothing etc. All these are brought to us flying in on the " wings of energy". Wake up.

I loved the new figures out that reflect the inflation rate was only 4% when discounting food and energy. WTF? When did you stop eating? When did you drag your ass to work on horse back? That is the stupidist statistic I've ever heard of. Tantamount to saying if the sun were up it would not be as dark! HUH? What was that again?

 

To the Keeper Of The Pigeons, your sky fell a very long time ago but you are to ignorant to see it. The next time you refuel your personal G5 jet liner don't complain about the $7.00 a gallon fuel charge. Okay? Enough said?
