We're all talking about blogging for money, adsense, traffic and on it goes.
But are we actually willing to work for money?

Well, of course not...we would simply like to write whatever comes into our heads - be it useful or not...and get money neatly deposited into our bank accounts.

Little do most people know...the people making any kind of decent money from blogging really work hard for it...they develop multiple sites, build blogging alliances, set up entire online network communities that often do the writing on their blogs and stage events/carnivals and much more. They constantly test and monitor and reconfigure their sites to achieve the best possible results. Basically, they perservere and work at their blogging until they get a balance of content, demand, traffic and optimisation just right.

There involves a complete project management system set up, a small business of sorts to enable them to achieve any form of decent income and then they usually have a back up plan to fall back on as well.

So, perhaps the time frame and work involved in becoming a pro-blogger are more extensive than we all expect.

But then, a few hard yards now may very well pay off in the future. We just need to understand it is a process of building gradually and methodically.

Until one day we can toss our heads back and quote Everett Dirksen:
A billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money.

ahhh...now that sounds like it's worth working for!

PS. Of course, if anyone has an over-night blogger success story I would love to hear it.

I am a very hard worker. I love to blog but, this aside, I work hard. I spend my time building a business, blogging, writing articles which I get paid for. You are right; earning good money takes more than writing nonsense. It takes dedication, time, effort, and passion. PinkJellyBeans

Sounds like a lot of work. why not do like SoulCast and start up a site that attracts people to blog by the thousands and just take a cut of whatever they make, the hire someone to manage the site. At least I think that is how they do it.
