Good times. We were all together but later on I went my way with Daria and Thor. Grand dad and Freyja went elsewhere. Daria and Freyja were not the best of friends at that moment but when we came home all was forgotten and forgiven.

Lots of great pictures skald, aren't you counting your chicks before they hatch? What I mean couldn't Winter come back with a vengence yet?

It's nice here today, but it can turn cold and snow until the end of May, but, it doesn't last long.

    Beyond.  Thanks.
Mobil.  Sure could come again and the Easter is not over yet. We usually have something called Easter something untranslatable but it brings snow and bad weather. Never mind. Today was an early spring day and if it goes back a bit it will come again. That is what I mean and think and you too. lol

Thanks for taking us along on your day, Skald, it was so lovely to see :-)  I really enjoyed all the photos and it was nice to see the kids actually getting hot out in the sun.  It was a warm day here too.  No need for thick coats, just jackets today.

    Much love

yes it was nice getting out with you and the kids today.. I don't know if it was nice here or not as I stayed in with my cold.  The sun sure was shining and the sky a very pretty blue for you all.  Soon, things will be green again and only a faint memory of the snow and colder days... I can't wait!  :)  thanks for sharing skald.

Polar. It probably was warmer  where  you  are but it felt fine here when you are properly dressed. The kids got warm from their tumbling and running. And we are having an other good day to day. It's been like this for a long time now.
Quiet.  I hope your cold is going away now and that you are feeling better. Yes, the spring is coming.
    Grape. Thanks
Ed.  Thanks too. It is good to live in a place with so few people, there is so much freedom. Like my German friend says, she can always see the sky here. There are no trees that do not allow her to see the sky for miles.

Queen.  Thanks. It was funny when they were hiding. The girl followed us from one playground to the next which was just next door.

    Hi,

Loved your pictures as usual. Seeing the children in just sweaters in the snow reminded me of an outing one winter in upper NY state when it was quite warm in spite of the land still being covered with snow, as in your pictures. I found it very strange then.

Does your hot water come from the volcanic springs? That is what impressed me when I was there many years ago, the hotel had hot water from the springs.

The quality of the air there, is it still so clear? It seems that way in all your pictures, the quality of vision was something so remarkable that I've never forgotten it, as if I were in some sort of dream. It felt as if one could see to the end of the world. Is it ever get hazy or foggy there?

  • skald said on Mar 18, 2008....
Hi my friend. Yes it could get hazy of foggy and I don't like it. It is not often though. Yes we have hot spring water that heats our houses in Reykjavík and in most places in the country. We teach other nations how to make use of thermal water.

Yes the air is clean and I remember years ago when a friend from Britain was here he wanted to walk to a mountain that he thought was near by. It was not that near. He just thought it was because things seem near when the vision is so good.

I do hope you will come here again. I hope you are fine and that the situation in your country is not too hard on you. ♥♥♥
