It’s looking more by the day that Barack Obama is going to be the democratic nominee for President of the United States. I like Barack Obama’s vision of the future and get excited when I hear him speak. He sounds presidential which is nice when you think about what we have had to deal with the last eight years under Bush. Personally I like Barack Obama over Hilary Clinton.

Anyway thanks for reading

I remember some earlier attempts by black politicians to run for president. Shirley Chisholm of Brooklyn. She seemed really po'd, rip your spleen out. Jesse Jackson, trying hard to re-paint himself as someone who loves everyone after beginning his public career hating on Whitey. Didn't whatshisname take a shot at it too? The chubby guy who defended Tawana Brawley, I forgot his name.

But this time they got a mixed blood really rich guy who speaks the king's English and has had his public speaking lessons. Finally somebody with a real shot to win. The Tiger Woods of politics. He might not be as bad as the other two choices, I really don't know. He talks a good game, really knows how to sling that bullshit. Hope. Yeah, who's voting against Hope. Hey, can I run on a platform of hopelessness? Hope is a pretty safe slogan. Yeah, you can hope all right. Yes we can. Yes we can. Keep slinging that bullshit, it's selling good. It's the only way to win.

He's a smart guy. He wouldn't disagree with my points above. He knows he's slinging bullshit. He knows how to get votes in the land white with foam.

Ifbno 7...I don’t think Obama is slinging bullshit…He’s talking about real issues effecting millions of working poor people in this country….Obama is a populist and it’s striking a cord among the disenfranchised people of the United States…I get excited when I hear Barack Obama speak…

What exactly is Borax's vision for America again, take from the middle class
and give to politician's to redistribute?

what exactly is mccain's vision for america again, repeating the failed bush policies?

alien, is there something specific about obama's platform that in any way relates to what you said?

Tell me what his platform is and I might be able to comment? What little I have
listened to him, it was just more Bush and associates bashing, like what you do.
    Carl Rove, blah blah blah.

As far as McCain, he is only slightly better. I think he is honest about Iraq and
national security, even though I know that Borax would do the same thing. I
actually heard him say he would not pull the troops out if he learned something
new about the situation over there. Duh. When it is his responsibility, you can
bet your bippy he will start backpeddling. So will HillBillary. What president would
want an honest news group like FOX, which we did not have during the Vietnam
conflict, reporting every evening the thousands killed every day because of your
    decision.

To be honest, I am hoping Romney will be McCain's running mate and take over
pretty soon. I can dream, right?

better still, why not look here for yourself and you tell me?

romney's social conservative cred isn't particularly strong either though, alien--remember when mccain pointedly asked him what stance during one of the first republican candidate debates? romney and mccain both have flip-flopped on some pretty substantial issues near and dear to social conservatives.

i'm mildly surprised you aren't still holding out hope for fred thompson as VP, to be honest.

I've had a lot of debates with neocons over the definition of torture and now I'd like to pose a question to the SC community. Is this torture?...
In a controversial move, the Minnesota State Elections Board has decided that Al Franken defeated Norm Coleman in a race that had Coleman ahead originally and now is being contested by the Coleman camp.
This leads me to my point :...
