In a nationwide budget crisis isn’t it amazing how much money wealthy people give to charities? Albeit $25,000 per person, just to meet with people like Tony Blair with the proceeds going to a gallery in the United Kingdom. I have nothing against Tony Blair or the Art Gallery in which I will not name.
I have a suggestion to the government. Why not try to reduce the amount deductible for monies going to non-traditional charities or monies going to any organization not based in the United States. With so many wealthy people and a growing tax problem. Why are they still allowed to deduct grandiose amounts from their taxes?
We are all know the answer don’t we? They are allowed because the government is getting a large portion of the monies to run for office and their lifestyles from these very same people. It is a shame how pundits use the media telling me how necessary these issues are to the betterment of all involved.
While I can see the point of international relations I am not buying into the whole idea. We have both charities and a growing poverty level depending on which governmental organization is spewing statistics. Which anyone knows can be manipulated by asking the right questions.
This issue is amazing considering how little the wealthy care about others in America until their companies are going under and want to be bailed out. Or worse they complain they are losing money yearly while giving millions away to both charities and the so called “Management” they have assembled.
Well thank you for blaming the working man who cannot afford to feed his family and provide health care. While you go to high priced dinners for “Charity” taking photos on the arm of other wealthy and well to do’s making themselves feel better. Well God Bless America as we gather in the poor house one and all.
