I'm just curious, and I suspect the answer is NO, but I wonder if there is anyone here who agrees with my opinions about ALL of the following. ALMOST ALL isn't what I'm looking for. I think whenever I share my opinions, I'm offending someone, and when I share a few of them, I'm offending everyone. Here goes.

1. Politicians throughout the world are crap, which most definitely includes nearly every Republican and Democrat in Washington DC. They should pretty much all be thrown out of office, not for incompetence, but for betrayal of the American people, for betrayal of Lincoln's "government for the people" ideal. Almost every one of them is a traitor to America.

2. All of the world's religions are based on nonsense. The Bible is fiction. The God of the Bible is not a very nice guy, and is unworthy of being worshipped. The miracles in the Bible are lies. The rules of the Bible are hit or miss, some good, some horrible. God had absolutely nothing to do with the writing of the Bible.

3. There is a God. There are designers. The human race, and for that matter, the squirrels in the park, did not come about as a result of evolution. They were designed.

4. Israel deserves to exist, despite the hatred of its enemies. The only significant issue with regard to Israel is its right to exist. All the other issues are smoke and bullshit. If Israel abandoned every settlement, gave in to every Arab on every issue, and kissed the hand of every Arab on earth, the Arabs would still be intent on the completion of Hitler's mission to eradicate the Jewish race from their part of the world. It is a war of extermination, a continuation of the Holocaust, and Israel is insane to give anyone anything without an agreement to respect the right of Israel to exist, which is something the Palestinians have never done and never will. Therefore those Palestinians who refuse to sign an oath recognizing Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state and denouncing terrorism should be deported forcibly and immediately from the borders of Israel, most definitely including the so-called Occupied Territories.

5. There is life after death. Heaven is real. It is where we go after we die. Our loved ones who have already died will sometimes visit us here, and will meet us when we return home.

6. Homosexuals deserve all the rights that everyone else has. They deserve the right to marry each other, to enter the military, and to do any other form of suicide that the rest of us have the right to do.

7. Kevorkian is one of the greatest heroes our country has ever produced. People who are terminally ill and in severe physical pain deserve the right to end it all with dignity.

8. Boy bands really suck.

9. America is no big deal. It is an ordinary country and it is ruled by scumbags. It is all for the rich, and by "rich" I don't mean the working people, I mean those who have wealth accumulated to the tune of at least 10 million. The rest of us are trash. We don't count. America would sooner give a large tax break to someone who already has 10 million dollars than help you out if you have an arrow sticking in your eye.

Okay, that's it. Does anyone agree with all 9? I doubt it. I don't mean to offend religious people, and to my surprise they usually aren't offended by me, though I don't understand why. I tend to like religious people a lot.

I like you a lot, Polar. I don't understand why religious people like me back. I'm insufferable. I don't know God's name. God is love. God is wisdom. God is justice. God is the mother of a newborn baby showering the little funny creature with all the love in the universe.
  • polarheart said on Mar 14, 2008....
lfbno, not to belabour the point, but may I ask what your definition of a religious person is?

Before you answer, may I say this:  I am not a regular church attendee and I'm not even a member of the church I do go to when I go.  I have found huge fault with the church and Christianity as it is perceived by most.  However, I do believe in Yahuweh and that He is the Almighty Elohim.  My desire is to know the Truth.  I am a Truth seeker and hope to always remain teachable.  I do not view myself as a religious person.

PS: I like you too :-)

What is this post doing on the top of the front page. That always embarrasses me, the 2 or 3 times I've been there. I'm a pretty reserved person, though also a blowhard. I'm surprised that 3 people agree with me. I've always taken pride in having nobody be like me, but I can fix that in a hurry. What if my #10 was ..... I like to put jelly on tuna sandwiches. Now I think I'm truly alone.

I agree with vacantmind that the Bible isn't entirely fiction. Just the stories about God and miracles. The rest, I can accept as fairly accurate history. To qualify as believable, it should be written shortly after the event, which eliminates Adam and Steverinio, Cain and Abel, and the 6 day creation. To qualify as believable, it should be believable, which eliminates virgin birth, a worldwide flood that covers Everest, and 6 day creation. And to qualify as believable, it should not paint the creator of the universe as a homicidal mass murderer, which eliminates the flood story as well. A moody Charles Manson as God? No thank you, and no excuses accepted.

Only one person here commented in an offensive way, and I don't mean curmudgeon, who is always a gentleman. My own comments were far more offensive than almost everyone here.

Anyone who insults Kevorkian is someone I'd be proud to have as an enemy, and ashamed to have as a friend. We are known not only by our friends, but also by our enemies, and we really should have some if we have any balls.

  • lfbno7 said on Mar 14, 2008....
Ok, first things first. Try grape jelly. I wouldn't do orange marmelade. And go easy on it.

Polar, you are curious about my theology. I like that you're curious and not arguing, just challenging, to see what's on my mind. I don't know God's name. I don't know where God came from. I don't know what God does. I think someone creates living souls, and maybe you can call that creator God. Maybe the creation of a living soul is kind of like God breaking off a piece of herself to start fresh. I wish I knew more but I don't.

My conception of God is not a designer who can't create anything. My conception of God is the creator of living souls. That's my guess. The parent of us all. As far as creating physical bodies, monkeys, tigers, people, etc., I don't think God does that. There are so many species. I think people do that. There's no shortage of people to come up with new designs. I think one of the things we can learn to do in heaven is to design physical bodies and make them real. Judging from some things Michael Newton has written.

I think the problem with religion is that it has all the answers, when we really don't have any of the answers. I think the solutions and stories you find in your Bible were written by novelists thousands of years ago. People want certainty, and would rather be certain about something that isn't true than admit that there's a lot they don't know.

I do believe in miracles. I just don't believe in the miracles in the Bible. I believe in different miracles. I think gravity is a miracle. Light is a miracle. Love is a miracle. Compassion is a miracle. Energy is a miracle. Those are some of your bona fide miracles. As for the silly stories about parting the sea or being born of a virgin or turning water into wine, those don't sound like miracles to me. They sound like advertising campaigns. The laws of nature are the miracles. These so-called miracles are breaking God's laws of nature. They aren't miracles. They're nonsense, and meaningless nonsense at that. Who cares if water is turned into wine. I prefer water anyway. Who cares if someone walks on water. Get a boat. It's all meaningless baloney to impress people.

Well, that's a piece of my theology, one question mark after another. I'll never convince you and you'll never convince me, but I'm fine with that. I really just wish that the ridiculous right wing would leave the homos alone for a change. Homos are people too.

Renegade, you and I would not agree on what constitutes proof of anything, so there's no point in discussing this particular issue with you. Believe what you want, I don't care. We may agree on something else, down the line.

Desdemona, I have higher standards than you. People shit on you and you call it chocolate milk. I want the national leaders to be as great as Lincoln and the founding fathers. You accept utter shit as acceptable. I don't. It's not "cynical". It's standards. If your baseball team lost three quarters of its games, you'd be praising it and I'd be saying it sucks. That's not cynical. They suck. Raise your standards. Clinton and his fucking globalization ruining America, Bush and his tax cuts for the filthy rich and destruction of the American Treasury for the sake of oil profits for his goombahs, they suck, they just Goddamn suck.

Almost everyone lines up on the left or right side of the aisle and picks their team and goes with it. They all suck. That's just the way it is. I hope the next corrupt piece of crap who occupies the White House turns things around. Don't bet the house.
  • lfbno7 said on Mar 14, 2008....
Expendable, Israel offered Yassir Arafat his own independent nation of Palestine several times, and Arafat turned it down every time because the one thing Israel insisted on was that the new nation of Palestine would not just be a launching pad for continued acts of terrorism against Jews. Israel insisted that Arafat accept the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state, and Arafat refused. So what can you do? Create a state next door that wants you all dead and plans to accomplish exactly that, soon as they can? Why do that? Put yourself in that position.

Lucy, I believe in evolution too. I think it was Bloc who said that evolution doesn't address beginnings, it addresses change. I said that too. So evolution can explain why some species thrive in a certain area and others do not, and go extinct, or why from one generation to the next, a population may grow stronger, bigger, or perhaps smaller, faster, whatever it takes to survive in that particular location. But evolution doesn't tell us how that first chicken came to be. Personally I think somebody cooked it up.

Thanks to all who responded except the one called Philly D, too obnoxious. You, I can do without. Please don't comment on any of my posts in the future, kid.

There are decent politicians, maybe not in America but in many nations politicians do the people's will. I am non theist so that elimanates for me, any discussion about God, Heaven etc...although the Judeo-Christian God is especially violent and meglomaniacal..evolution is real and if there is an architect in the sky, he has a done a crummy job of designing this solar system, with planets that are almost uninhabitable and sticking us on a planet that is either too hot or dry most of the time...we must remember that early Israeli nationalists, like Menachem Begin and others would be considered terrorists by today's standards, they were blowing English consulates et al in the name of Zionism(nuff said)...America is and was built on the principle of a plantocracy (a ruling class with capital )guised as a republic (only in its opposition to England.)..a limited democracy withno access to real capital for most of its people(like in most nations)the idea of America has never caught on...Judaism has never been a race...there are Arabs who are Jews and vice versa...they are both Semites, simply a linguistic term....I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE LIST!!!!
  • lfbno7 said on Mar 15, 2008....
Yes, Kelly, in the way that the Idiot and the Oddity are historical. Hit or miss history.

Jenni, good luck with your teaching career. I somehow get the feeling you may slightly disagree with something I said. (smile) That's okay. Everyone else does (with a few exceptions above), no problem. I'm out on my own branch here. The day I agree with the majority on anything is the day I smother my face in a pillow. I'm anti-religion, anti-evolution (explained above), anti-Republican, anti-Democrat, anti-patriotism, I believe in ghosts, I believe in God, I believe in eternal life, and I believe that the human race is composed of baby souls who are dumb as doggies.

Dale, Jehovah is a bad dude ain't he. That is the only real criterion. They wanted a tough guy you can't mess with. So they made one up. My conception of God, and I definitely believe the accurate one, is a being of love and wisdom far surpassing Jehovah's.

I know that Begin was a terrorist. I figure that the missing 10 tribes of Israel are Arabs. They blended. They didn't go off to become the Red Jews of America, Hiawatha and Sitting Bull. They're Arabs, not woo woo woo Indians. I think the American Indians were journeyers from Asia or the islands, coming over by the land bridge from Siberia to Alaska or coming by boat because they were damn good on long ocean voyages.

The only thing that would make Jews a race, as in DNA, would be in-breeding, and there has been a lot of that because Jews were pretty insular for a long time. It's a "more or less" race, kinda sorta, and Jews are genetically connected not only to Arabs but also to Greeks and Italians, as explained in The Outline of History by H.G. Wells. They are the "Mediterranean people", as opposed to the Germanic people and the Nordic people, the three main varieties of Caucasians.

Hi. I guess you are a goddess in training. Maybe for real. My specialty is gross over-generalizations. I get pissed, like that guy who started swinging a whip around and whacking the moneylenders. If I was in Congress I'd be 1,000 times better than any of the assholes currently serving themselves in Washington. They are a useless pile of horse manure.

For one thing, I'd make it illegal for a credit card company to charge more than a few points over prime. That alone is destroying the finances of more than half the population of the USA. And credit card companies make obscene profits, comical profits, every penny turns into a hundred dollar bill for them. What the fuck.

For another thing, I'd make it illegal for an American business owner to close a profitable ongoing business in America and reopen overseas for the sole purpose of saving on labor costs and then sell their fucking product in America. If you wanna go, go, ya traitorous greedy motherfucking son of a bitch, but sell your shit in China, not here. You want a factory in China, fine, go build one, but don't close down the people who MADE you, motherfucker.

  • lfbno7 said on Mar 15, 2008....
Yeah, for real, that's another one. Two monopolies fueled by corruption. The OPEC monopoly and the secret collusion between American gas companies who pretend to be in competition with each other because they are pennies apart, but who move in tandem, knowing damn well that the few pennies difference will often be outweighed by the convenient location of the gas station. Oil prices are not the result of a free market economy. Quite the opposite, and we could use a Teddy Roosevelt Trust Buster type to crack that open and restore the free market economy.

Sorry, as Dyingman says, few of your questions can be answered yes or no. They
are like the "are you still beating you wife" question. To say "yes", "no", "none",
or "all" immediately makes most questions impossible to answer.

    1. There are some good people in politics, but money corrupts most of them. To
be fair, many of the problems they are trying to solve can only be solved by God.
    So start praying.

    2. Most of the world's religions are based on nonsense. The Bible is flawless. Jesus
    is the answer.

    3. Yes, there is a God. Evolution is nonsense.

    4. Yes, Israel does deserve to exist. The devil and his followers want Israel gone.

    5. Yes, there is life after death and heaven is real. I doubt anyone who has already died is visiting us.

    6. Homosexuals should seek serious psychiatric help to help them resolve the issues
that makes them think they are gay. Marriage should be one man and one woman.

    7. Kevorkian is a murderer.

    8. No opinion on boy bands. Never really listened to them. However, rap really,
really sucks and has ruined the American music scene.

    9. America is the greatest country on earth. The current situation has been brought
about by people coming here to colonize America instead of becoming an American.
America is about the opportunities to become rich, but there are those who are
raping America for financial reward. It only makes sense to give the biggest tax
breaks to those who pay the most taxes. People who pay little or no tax should
get little or no tax refund.

I dare say that, as you age and become more wise, your opinions on some of these
issues will change just as mine have. If you have already aged then enjoy your
eternity in hell. Just believing in God is nice, but not enough. Jesus is the only
way to heaven, as He says in the Holy Bible. Once you accept that, all these
other questions will be easily answered because most of them do not matter.

So what if that lying bag of shit pretended for five minutes that he would allow the Jews to live nearby? Come on, don't be like that.

Listen close. Arabs ..... fucking ..... hate ..... the ...... Jews ..... and ..... won't ..... let ...... them ...... live ..... there ..... in ...... peace . Got it? Save the happy horseshit for someone else.

Hi. I just had this image of the Wall Street CEOs as mosquitoes, and the populace of America as beasts supplying blood to said mosquitoes. That came from my item 9, which seems prophetic at this point, since I wrote it a year ago, before the bank bailout.

Comment on "Is there anyone here who agrees on all 9?"
