what do you read here?
-- was the name of his blog. He was my hero. But I went in and became a ZERO...
I guess in fairness to silverwhisper I'll admit that he was asking for reasons that make you STAY reading a post, not things that make you go away - but many offered the negatives, so I was not alone. Yet somehow from this exchange, silverwhisper claims I have "mocked" his friends.

turn offs: rambling on about endless minutae for self-therapy; bitch-rants without any insights or style; blatant self-promotion (I hate competition! Not really, we all need it!); political rigidity (left right / right wing - huh? A bird needs both to fly, baby) and religious dogma or arguments for any "one way" to salvation, knowledge, wisdom or happiness, and ninnies whining about everybody getting along.
EXAMPLES: ALIENated, bloc, JoyousLoving, CreativeWoman
turn ons: strong opinions and points of view, philosophical quests, political give and take, honest opinions looking for feedback, and a good old fashioned occasional brawl over a burning issue, as well as weird theoretical discussions about time travel, space aliens, afterlives and other such speculative amazements. And chicks. Lots of chicks.
EXAMPLES: moonriver, hunter_boyce_chandler, TheNakedProfessor, HoleInTheCosmos
Overall, it's hard to get into anything that is poorly presented in a forum dedicated to the written word. This ain't a chat room. Then again, I ain't Shakespeake, either.

sw - both bloc and ALIENated are stuck in their ideological corners, so arguments by and from them are (yawn) predictable. And check out CreativeWoman's headline on This Week's Featured Posts if you have any doubts. Also, JoyousLoving is right there at the top with her appeal for world peace (yawn and stretch).

considering i'm probably considerably more familiar with all four of them than you are. and considering you think mocking my friends is a good idea, i invite you not to return to my blog pages.ed
