I don't think the cold war ever really ended...just took a long breather....they were waiting for the right time to make their comeback and that is now......our military is getting thin and the public stomach for conflict is getting weak. -

Russians have a vested interest in Asia, and in Europe. They're not happy with the whole Kosovo situation, either.
