First of all, happy mothers' day to all mothers!
In my country (Georgia) the third of March is the Mother's day. For me it's the most beautiful holiday. It's never celebrated loudly, but it's the prettiest, the warmest and the most wonderful day because of it's meaning.
Here the mother's day associates with violets. Georgians have a saying: "Where mother's tear drops, the violets grow". When I was a school-girl (in elementary school), our teacher used to teach us verses about mother, and we used to make greeting cards. They were just simple papers, on which we drew violets (or some other flowers too), or stick there the flowers made of coloured papers, write those verses there and write something like: "To my dear mommy for mother's day!"
It was cute:)
Traditionally the mothers are given the flowers. For last few years, violets have been replaced by cyclamens. But that's mostly because many people mistake them with violets. However, the violets still are the symbol of mother. So, again happy Mother's day!

Aaaaaaand! That's me and my mom:)
