last week i was called in to interview for a reference book publishing company located in midtown manhattan. so i went, met with HR, took an editing test, and met with the woman i would report to. she then introduced me to her boss (which i took as a good sign).
at 10am the next morning i received a call from the woman in HR and she asked if i could come in to meet with the chairman of the company! so i went in this morning and met with him, and i think it went pretty well but i'm still nervous. i don't want to get my hopes up, but it would be awesome to get this job (or any at this point, lol!!! i'm definitely starting to go crazy!!)
so i think i did what i could to win them over. now i just have to wait :)

so i get a call today on my cell, but i was out to lunch and didn't pick it up. turns out, it's the woman from HR... i called her back as soon as i got home (about an hour later) and it went to her voice mail and said she was on the phone. so i left a message around 4pm. i still haven't heard anything back yet and am sooooo NERVOUS!!! you shoulda seen when i was leaving the message, i think my voice was shaking! d'oh! oh well... i'll definitely keep you guys posted :) silverwhisper (loooove that name, btw): the company is called facts on file. they publish reference books and materials for schools and libraries across the country. -
