I have been doing a little reading on here today. I see that there are a lot of others like me who enjoy a good buzz. I wanted to do a little writing about my drug of choice and welcome you to share your opinions and comments.
My drug of choice is.....Marijuana!!! I can smell it already...opps no wait that’s just my hooter burning! I have been smoking weed religiously since I was sixteen years old. And yes I mean religiously. I do every thing religiously being as how my dad was a minister for my whole life! We actually had a running joke in my house growing up, you didn't say "getting high" you said "getting closer to God!"
My parents weren't strong supporters of my habit, but they learned to accept it. They had both experimented back in the 70's while living in Orange county Cali. The habit just didn't stick. For me however it started a lasting relationship.
I originally used weed to help boost my creativity. At the time I started smoking I was doing a lot of writing. Everything from short stories to poetry. Almost everything I wrote my teacher entered into some type of competition. I brought home a lot of awards and was published a few times. During all of this I had to mega produce work. I had to go to school all day, be the marching band captain in the afternoon, and work at the local Dairy Queen all evening. Somewhere in this hectic schedule I had to fit writing in. So when I got off work around 10:30 I would spark up a joint, relax with my friends for about a half hour, then hit the school books.
With the help of Miss Mary Jane I started to write more and better than I ever had. Suddenly new ideas were popping into my head left and right. I no longer needed to do hours of prewriting just to get one usable idea. If Mary Jane was a real woman I would have been bowing at her pussy waiting to be given the chance for one little drop of her juices.
From that time on she was my constant companion. I went on to graduate high school with honors and move on to bigger and better things. Since then Mary Jane has never left me. She brought my husband and I together. Both of us love her dearly.
When I was just getting started in College, living in my own place, all of my friends home on summer vacation, and my closest family hours away, I always had weed to turn to. I built up a one woman enterprise there for awhile. During this time I started experimenting with other drugs like opium, pills, alcohol, coke, crack, hell I can't even remember them all.
I do enjoy mixing a little black tar opium with a joint and lighting it up. The smell is heavenly. If I could smoke every joint this way I would. But the area I live in opium is hard to come by. It has been almost 3 years!!! Doesn't that make me like a born again opium virgin? I prefer coke over crack because I like the numbness in my throat. Don't get me wrong crack gives you the same numb it just doesn't last as long. I'm not much of a drinker. I do enjoy a strawberry daiquiri every once in a while but that’s about it. Honestly I can't stand the taste of alcohol. I do like my pills. I only take them at night time once I'm inside and not going out again. I like xanax, valium, ambien, vicodin, percoset, just about any downer.
The one thing that still boggles my brain is that people say that you can't do any of the above mentioned drugs with out getting addicted. Yet out of this huge list of addiction the only drug I do on a regular basis is weed. I can be offered a line and walk away. Heck the last time I did a line was in 2003! So I guess its all about self control instead of substance control.
Anyways, what I want to know is which is your fav? Which one can't you live without? Which one gets your juices flowing?
