i hated it when my mother would dress my sister and i the same. we are 2 yrs apart. i never wanted to look like anyone else. probly why i dont like any of the current fashion. i tend to walk to my own beat.  i want something that will last more than 5 min. mom always thought my sister and i looked so cute in the same dress.........make me gag. i hated it . my sister and i look nothing alike , thank goodness. i thought how lazy to dress your kids in the same clothes. my grandmother never bought us the same clothes. thank goodness. i never dressed my boys the same either. they are individuals and should be treated as such.  i always felt sorry for twins.  no sence of identity even when young.  even when i would knit for the boys when they where still in school i made all there things in different colours and even different pattern.  i wanted to agknowlege that they were 2 different people.  i still knit for them, hats ,mitts.  just like i am knitting toys for the grandson. its so much fun. am just about done with his duck..its blue.  i would knit him clothes but not sure what he needs anymore.  maybe a sweater for next fall.   will have to see what i have for yarn in my secret stash..........

have also turned some of my eggs into cat toys by adding catnip to the eggs and a tail. my cats love them....lol

ok back to work.......have more cards to paint and eggs to knit.........

i'm a twin, and my mother dressed my sister and i alike for 10 years!!!
of course then i had 3 younger sisters, and sometimes, like for holidays, the 4 of us would all have matching outfits.

    lol...oh boy, right?

makes me glad i was never a twin. i was always the child held up as an example. your the oldest you have to set the example for the others. naturally i didnt set an example for anyone but me.

I have twins....they would never dress alike, in fact, they fight to be seperate and they are about as mirror image as you can get..the only time I would get them into the same outfits was for professsional pictures when they were little kids. they are still working out the twin thing....try being the mother of a set...for all those who said "twins how cute, wish I had some" take mine, you'll never say that again. btw...theyre 30 now!
this post gave me a trip down memory lane and a good chuckle.ty
