Europe cracks the whip: Bad, Microsoft!  Bad!

According to a New York Times article today, Europe has fined Microsoft a whopping $1.3 billion for failing to comply with a 2004 judgment that the company had dominated the market unfairly.

Microsoft is apparently the first company in 50 years of EU regulation to not comply with the rulings that the EU set forth for it.  Apparently Microsoft is too cool for Europe.

Personally, I'm thrilled with the EU decision.  Pay up, Gates!
