Monday 7 August 2006: Received a call from D. He was frustrated with his long time problem. He told me of how again he let go of a job he just started. D. came to me, referred, about two years ago. He had a deep seated psychological problem. He was sodomnized when he was a young boy in school by a Malay boy who was stronger and bigger than him. This created fear, and though he was a top student his studies declined. He could not share with his parents for fear. He tried avoidance, but was often cornered by the boy. Today he is in his mid thirties. He is under psychiatrist treatment, and medication. He was referred to a psychiatric hospital but was sodemnized (almost) instead. He keeps his room full of VCDs, DVDs, magazines, posters ... of superheroes. (These had been removed at least twice). These keep him comforted and he feels strong as he walks amongst them. I had tried for almost a year through counselling, prayer, deliverance, inner healing, memory healing,and community support to help him and his family. Medical treatment had continued at the same time. They were times he was overcoming and at one stage just before his family gave up on him again, he had actually came through strong. But he fell back to his old ways and his family gave up on helping him. Today they just gave in to him as he asked for money for movies... to feed his habit - just told me that he had seen Superman 3 Xs, and is looking to see where it is being screened again. If he doesn't gets his ways he gets angry and may become violent, broke a door once. Suggested that he seeks help from a more focussed life healing ministry, but I continue to be open for him to relate to me. I fear for him that after his parents are no more, he will end up like a vagabond roaming the streets with no one to care for him but ... may God make a way for him now.
