I was watching my local six o’clock news today. There was this segment about how Michigan is the only state were it’s citizens cannot sue a drug manufacture.

I find this too be horrible as do a lot of people. Apparently there is legislation in our state legislator right now that would allow Michigan citizens too sue drug manufactures. All American citizens in the rest of the country have the right too sue drug companies and it’s about time Michigan residents also are given that right.

Anyway thanks for reading

Drug companies are the single biggest contributors to presidential campaigns. They contribute more money than the NRA, the dairy industry, and everyone else. They contribute to Republicans and Democrats. They contribute to Bush and Clinton. They are not expressing a preference when they give money. They are buying influence.

They make windfall profits, selling bottles of drugs for a lot of money, although the drugs cost only pennies a bottle to make. They pretend that these prices are necessary in order to pay the exorbitant costs of research and development, but they show obscenely high windfall profits, so they are going far beyond what they need to do in order to pay for R & D.

The president of the United States, regardless of which party he belongs to, is serving these drug companies. That's why Bush refused to negotiate with them for lower prices. Our government is not "for the people". It is for the people who contribute to the campaign.
