Love wasn’t supposed to be like this

It was to be special and sealed with a kiss

She knows she was blind.

Looking back over time

She ached to give her heart to him

Eager to share all within

The loneliness was a surprise

As were the tears in her eyes

Now her heart aches for another reason

With that love somehow out of season

She never dreamed it would be this

Alone and never missed

Well writ.  You've always had a poetic flow, even when you're just chattin'.  It just comes to you naturally.

    Loved it's hue.

Its hard when there is no halfway place to meet

You never expected to travel this lonely one way street,

How could you offer such complete devotion?

And not recover the returning sweet emotion?

Can you walk away from the pain and tears,

To find the elusive love of your remaining years?

Its a leap of faith and a stretch of hope,

But  this life is not a sentence of cope..

We all deserve our desires in kind returned

To expect love as love is earned...

The dealt cards are not the ones you have to play,

So throw your hand and chase the ace....today!!

It burned
My heart churned

Memories went up in smoke
The reality was no joke...
A silly poem about animals and their rhyming names... and some that look like they do, but don't. There are a couple of references to British TV personalities too that might be missed by our tea-vandalising and wallaby-whacking cousins....
I hope that someone who knows Mr. Travolta will get this poem to him. If not, then let it heal your own pain of mourning for a lost loved one. If someone knows his email or address please tell me....
Secret #184: i write poems for no one and hide them everywhere i go.
Secret #185: i secretly want to find one back to me one day....
I'm not sure what's inspiring this thought, but it's one worth sharing....
