NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE YOUR CALL..

On most all new phones you get now, there is that automated answering voice on the machine:  No one is available to take your call, please leave a meassage...bla bla bla. 
Most of the time this voice is a mans..and always the same voice.  Who is he?
 
When you call a business that has the (annoying I may add) automated voice: if you know your parties extention please press 1 bla bla bla..... or I didn't hear you, pleas try again.  If you wish to hear the menu again please press the # sign....or please enter the first letters of the persons last name. (did it ever occur to them that we may not know that???   And, like what did happen to me, what if you are on a mobil phone built into your vehicle.....there ARE no numbers to "press"......who is she? (I'd like to punch her lights out)
 
And lets not forget the standard woman who says "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again...." bla bla bla...beep beep beep!!
 
I would like to meet the person that came up with these annoying little voices!!!  I would like to give them a few beeps!!
 
 
 
My lttle rant and wonder for the day.  I feel better already!! But would still like to know who's voice that is!! Anyone know?

    I love the voice on my Boston friend's answering machine.  He came with the machine.  We call him Roberto.  I've been trying to seduce him for a couple years, with no success.  I figure he's the perfect man because all he knows how to say is, Hello, please leave a message after the beep.  He gives great beep.  :D

    No idea who gets these "jobs" to be voices of the phone...wonder if they get paid much?  I agree they are annoying!  I've been trying to hold my patience with those recorded credit card sales calls and such, because at the end you have the option to press a number to be removed from the list.  One kept calling here but I couldn't understand what they were saying to press!  And even when you do, a different voice calls with the same message!
     
    So if you are listening, voice----I do not want a credit card, my insurance is not running out, and I don't want to go to Florida.  (well, not really)

    I remember Miss or Mrs clock on the telephone a friendly little voice who told us the time if you phoned her up. but that was years ago and now those computer voices are intolerable but the computers or the sites are worse, you can't reason with them, can you ?

    At ONE time I knew this because I was actually "auditioning" for one of them.  I have to add that was when I RID myself of my Boston accent. 

    It's a  VOICE OVER!!!  The voice over is sold to Verizon, Comcast...any network, same guy or girl. 

    It's the same thing with the News "teasers"
    "Coming up at 11, Do you know what your kids do...blah, blah"

    The one guy does them all for local television news networks and just changes the news time and the story runs!

    I always said, If someone is not available to take my call at this time, where'd this guy get the time to tell me that...medication, it works in the think department!

    My sister did one.  Her voice is the automated prompt for a mobile telecommunications company.  She gives you the balance of your account, offers you options to navigate through the menu and etc...  She had to sit in a recording studio and read a bunch of numbers.  She got paid a one-time fee, I think. 

    She's the automated prompt for the place she works for as well.  That's how she got the job for the mobile telecommunications company.  She has a beautiful speaking voice.

    Daily ~ No wonder they all "sound the same" for the most part they are the same person then!!  I would think yes, meidcation works much better than getting "mad at your own phone" and throwing it.....btw, I have often wondered how people in theatre and such "get rid" of their accents to act.  How do they do that?  Even bands from Europe...loose their english drawl!  Arnold S. is about the only one I can recall that still has a bit of his when he acts.
