Now before all you ndp'ers and liberals get your nickers in a knot, this is simply a question based on observations, not to place blame or open old wounds just a simple question, in general were most current african nations better off as colony's instead of being granted independance?
I recently looked at some of the african union and UN stats and found that most african nations have seen decreases in life expentancy, health care, education, GDP while rates of murder, rape, genocide increase on what seems to be a daily basis. this in spite of the billions of dollars of aid that is sent each year. so the question is, freedom is great but is the freedom to be raped on a daily basis, not to be educated or recieve even the most basic form of health care and to die before your forty really being free.
Is there an upside to being a colony (most would agree life is a pretty good reason) or is this just repeated cases of people not being able to govern themselves
