okay first of all i know i should have blog about this a few days ago. but i was so tired and well you know how shitty my dial up connection is. anyway here's what happened at the party...
my grandfather's birthday is actually at february 13. since it was a wednesday we decided we will have the party at the 16.
on feb. 15 many relatives especially from manila already came. the house was really noisy. not all of the grandchildren were there though. but my grandfather's kids (my mom's siblings) are all here.
it was fun though, i miss my cousins and my little sister was here with us. anyway the party started at 5 pm. and there were somany people! good thing we hired some people to cook.and some waiters too...
did i mention we have 500 guests...
so what are this 500 people???
most are our relatives. from my grandfather's side and from my grandmother's side.
my grandfather's former co teachers. and some are also fellow veterans.
neighbors from our town.
and also good thing we had 2 buffet tables. one in the front yard and the other on the back yard.
and also it was a good thing that we rented some few plastics roofs because it rained!!!
yup it rained!!!
anywa during the party we had a program for our grandfather. some greeted him and said something in honor of him. my little sister danced!!! =)
and yeah i said a speech too...
and i cried!!! i told myself i won't cry! but it was emotional and it came from the heart.i told them that in all of the grandchildren i was the closest to my grandfather since i grew up here with him. and i was touched with the love he had with my grandmother. i gave an example and it was during the time when they were hospitalized together. my grandfather demanded to have the same room with my grandma.
anyway i wanted to share some pictures with you guys but the photographer haven't gave us a copy yet. but i have these photos from my aunt's camera.
this is me and my grandfather, my sisters and my cousins. the girl in pink is my niece. (my grandfather's great grandchild) all in all we are 21 grandchildren. but some are not in the photo.
this is me. shit, i look fat.... good angle though....hehehehhe my big tummy is being hidden!!! =)
well it was very tiring because i was in charge of the little kids. but we had fun. it was great party and good thing we didn't run out of food!!!!!
well that's the party... after months of planning it's finally over. now what?
back to reality... i'll blog about it soon...
