Today American Idol has branch out the US to the Philippines shore as Philippine Idol, seen on ABC 5 every sunday. The initial telecast showcase the audition proper of all aspiring Philippine Idol. To tell you, its the only audition I've ever seen with unique format (originally from American Idol). Why? Because it does not carry the usual type of audition were the aspiring contestant only sings her song, wears formal clothes and follows those etcetera, blah blah. The Philippine Idol was accessorized not only with talent, but with fun, crazy, drama, weird, beauty, and ugly stuff.
Where would you see a auditionee when called for his turn, plays the trumpet so loud, sprint his way in, rocks infront of the judges effortlessly. Saying "It's just an intermission number and not the actual song to be rendered." Or an obese contender who dances a hula first with the judges. A green out-fitted girl who claims to be singing abnormal songs. Wahahaha! And ofcourse the drama, those who failed cried their way out, some beg, others left a treat.
I admire those who try their luck in the audition, eventhough they are abviously no talent at all. And funny, the attire they wore, maybe they have gotten it in a used clothing store (ukay-ukay). To sum up, the whole thing is very entertaining and I really enjoyed it. Hope the show rate just like the original American Idol. To those who passed the initial screening, goodluck!
