Does anyone make home movies anymore?  If they did, the "Reality Television" industry would go out of business in about five seconds.  The reasons why are simple:

1. People only really care about themselves.
2. People watch reality television mostly because they resonate with the "characters" portrayed therein (or they know people that do)
3. If people were able to watch themselves throughout their normal day, they would learn a lot about themselves.
4. People would also, were they able to witness themselves in their daily lives, would become so entrenched in themselves and their persona, that they would do one of two things: either they would be inspired to act, or they would fall into a deep pit of depression.
5. People would rather watch themselves than anyone else.  If people did watch home videos of themselves, exclusively, society as we know it would change, mostly for the worse.  But no one would be watching reality television anymore.

Does anyone out there agree or disagree?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.
