So, the first couple of days were pretty uneventful, sitting around watching things happen, flirting with everyone. :) I am a natural flirt so it was all in good fun cause I made it known that I was happily married.

Anyway, the third day of filming we began filming a scene in the bar where Keanu's character O'Neil comes into the bar singing a rap song. I was originally standing near the bar, but had asked Brian (Robbins, the director) if I could sit on one of the stools because I couldn't stand for the entire night of filming due to my arthritis. Unfortunately, the stool that I wanted to sit on was going to be needed later, so he moved me to a table instead.

We began filming and in the scene, O'Neil comes in and goes to the end table and gets right in the face of the girl sitting there. Unfortunately (or very fortunately for me!), the girl at the table was very uncomfortable with Keanu being in her face, so Michael (assistant director) came up to me and my friend and asked which of us would be comfortable with Keanu being in our face and I said "ME!"

At which point Michael laughed and said "I thought so." Obviously pretending shock, I asked him, "And what is that supposed to mean?" Laughing we followed him to our new table.

We had already spent so much time on this shot that we only did one practice take before beginning to film. So imagine my surprise when we began filming and instead of just getting in my face, Keanu kissed me! My water spilled all over the table and I turned a delicious shade of red.

After that take, Brian went up to Keanu and said "Awesome! That was great, can we keep that in?" Keanu answered in the affirmative and then Brian asked me, "Is it ok if Keanu kisses you?" Like I'm going to say no?!

Anyway, 20 takes (one of which the camera was literally inches from my face) and many hours later we were done with that scene.

I was sure that the scene would end up on the cutting-room floor, but it didn't! So, if you want to see what I looked like seven years ago, rent the DVD Hardball and watch Scene 12 - The Bulls and Six. I am the girl that Keanu kisses - but it's so quick don't blink or you'll miss it! Anyway, I have lost a lot of weight since then and my hair is longer and more blond now.

So, that is my story of the movie I was in where I am kissed by Keanu Reeves. AH, memories! :)

Oh yeah, and I made about $200 for the entire week so I can't complain AT ALL.

Cool story. That would be unreal if a famous actress kissed me. Wow, would a career in show business be fun.

Yeah, it was pretty darn cool. And the DVD choice to watch with comments mentions that the kiss was not scripted and that "this extra will have something to talk about for the rest of her life" (If I remember the quote properly - I may not because it has been a long time since I watched it with the commentary.)

Well--that answers my question (I asked if you an actress in a comment to someone else's post). That is so cool. A girl I used to go to school with (she was in my French class) was in the Disney movie "Heavy Weights". She plays a hottie that all the guys fall for.

Yeah, your question in that other post is what prompted this post. :) I'm sure your friend was much more visible in her movie though. LOL - you really have to watch for me or you miss it completely. It was definitely awesome though.

Still--it is really neat. I was living in Columbia, South Carolina when they were calling for extras in the movie "The Program"--it is a football movie. I didn't actually apply as an extra, but I went to the University of South Carolina for awhile--there are some shots of the campus. Lame, I know!

    Not lame at all. :)

Hi Ajinia, What is the meaning of your name? I like to learn new things and ajinia sounds very extra ordinary, please tell me what that means... I am not prying, I want to learn what it means, ok? :)))

Ajinia--that sounds like a fascinating experience. When I was in high school, they filmed "The River", with Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek in my home town. One of our baseball/football coaches won a bit part in the movie, our pastor's grandchild won a small part in the movie as one of the children. And because the town was so small (population 2500), most of us became extras in the movie at one time or another. They had main street closed down for filming for several days and we would always go watch the process, which was fascinating.

Heart, it is actually the name of one of my characters in EQ2. It was a random generated name that I just liked the sound of. I looked it up on the internet and could not find any record of it being used as a name, so there is no meaning. :( Aleyson, yeah I do too! :) Zayda, that is awesome. And I really liked to watch what was going on. As extras we were normally kept in a school a couple of blocks away if we weren't involved in that scene's filming. Due to my flirtatious ways though, I often got to stay and watch the filming with the paid actors on the screens that they watched the dailies on. :) Very interesting, I loved every minute of it!
