I know I have mentioned wanting a four leaf clover over my heart because I have said for many years that I used up all my good luck having my girls.

I finally did it.

Yes. It hurt.

But it was so worth it. I think the result is gorgeous, albeit not what I had in mind when I walked in the door. But the artist really knew what I wanted better than I did. I wanted something beautiful and suited to my body. And that was what he gave me. Hand drawn for me as I watched.

No. I didn't go to the Inkslinger of old. That ass is sooooo history.

Oh, I love it LG. I don't know that I can get a chestpiece. I think I'm too much of a wuss to do so because everyone I know who has gotten one said that a chestpiece hurts worse than any other tattoo they've gotten.

That is flat-out gorgeous, LadyG! :) How cool that he did a custom design for you right on the spot, and that it turned out so beautiful.

So, I've been looking at it some more LG, and I really like the "wind" behind the scroll. And the scroll is really well done. The whole thing is really well done. Maybe I should come visit you to get my next tattoo.

He really was fantastic. And I didn't have to tell him how to do the clover, he just did it my way to start. I didn't want anything flat and textureless. I like my art like life....

    *chuckles*

    Complicated.

Nice tat Lady G. I'm not brave enough to get a cleavage tat. However, I'm almost ready to get some refinements done to my own raven tattoo. My original intention was to have my raven perched atop a world globe, but one that was simply done with longitude/latitude lines. He showed me a sketch with some slight shading to the grid globe. It looked good on paper, but when he finished, the shading on my tat took on a life of its own I think.

It still looks like a globe, but some ask if it's a "disco ball," or a "soccer ball". Ugghh!

So, I thought maybe I'd have him highlight the lines in the areas of the shading OR, my preference if it can be done right -- give the globe some simply drawn continents. The difficulty is the size of the tat. It's a hair too small to have continental bodies on it, I suspect, but if there is any way it could be done and it look good, I'd be happy I think. :)

He's actually a great tattoo artist (Adam B. Forman aka Dutch Rubb), and the raven is SUPERB. He's known for the old Camel Cigarette girl artwork and has worked at Incongnito Tattoo in Pasadena, CA where I got this tat and is now working with Kat Von D of Discovery Channel's Miami Ink and LA Ink fame, at her shop in High Voltage Tattoos in Hollywood, CA. I suppose I'll be following him there to get this work done.

Who knows, maybe I'll get a second tat as well. :) Just not sure what yet.

    I'll keep you posted. PT
