Okay,, so, dropping by to say that we are LIVING~! Things have been very busy what with term papers, visiting days ( the University-- our flat's open for visitors to walk through-- much cleaning required here...), volunteer-work and all the rest.
Dunno if we've ever mentioned that before, but we volunteer...... ALL OVER the place. Mostly places where no one else wants to head off to (hospice for folks with dementia, etc.), but all sorts of other neatness as well. X3; Currently, we're working on fourteen different projects, and love them ALL.
Yesterday there was this random outing for the volunteers, but it ended up having fake guns and very... realistic... noises. It was played in the woods and we spent most of the time hiding. Everyone took the piss out of us for being so freaking hard to find (i.e., under two feet away from someone's feet and unfound), but, whatever. *grins* Their loss for not constantly winning the game~! *laughs* Blaah. It was just one of those stupid things, though. People that mock because they have the luxury to do so. Like, they have these minimally shit-lives (as admitted by themselves), so, they're able to laugh at guns and tell people off for being 'freaks' because they're able to hide. Of course, they have no idea WHY I can bolt through a forest and simply go away, but, who the heck does? I don't even~! The fact is, if someone's acting jumpy, you don't take the piss out of them-- even if their jumpiness IS stacking up all the points~! Games aren't the most important. Yuummm. Pettyyy...
This is why people the body's age irritate me... Have they all lived under some rock? Its almost as if they think they're immortal.
Them: Dangerous? Noooo problem~! We LAUGH at danger~!
Us: Fair enough... how did you learn how to [insert dangerous activity here], anyway?
Them: Pfft! Like we need to LEARN~! Look, its EASY! *breaks limbs* Oww!
Earlier in the year some kid smashed his head open trying to show off to a chick. Nice. Gotta love the value of life...
What really gets to me is how they do it in their volunteering, too. Each and every one of them expects to GET something out of the work. Lots even join up just so that they can 'find true love' amongst the ranks. *rolls eyes* PEOPLE~! GROW UP! I've have enough of these kids~! If one more of them walks into some understaffed terminal ward to help a dying person eat and spends the entire time talking to some kid they want to shag-- I wish I could level some threat or the next, but, laa. They're hurting people. Doubt that ever occurred to them... When you go someplace and say you're going to help, you get hopes up. Then you do a barely passable job and never return? Well, fuck off very much. XP Why'd you leave? Whaaat? Oh. Well, then. At least you found 'true love' and got a shiny-thing to toss down on your CV. I understand that its just too depressing to take up your time! *drop-kicks* DO NOT show up if you don't intend to help! It's NOT a game! Snap out of it--- this is the world and you're living!
If you go into someplace where people are sick and older, expect to see some folks die. Expect nothing in return but the knowledge that for all of their screaming or staring, for all that they did or didn't do, you were a comfort before they went. Yeah, its a little more bitter than sweet, but that's how it goes. Get it or don't show.
For reference, there are four programs like the one above-- two people (ourselves being one) from any unpaid organisation (our group or otherwise) go constantly.
*laughs* Anyway, that was just my 'we are STUPID'-rant for the day... =^____^=;;; It's GOOD that they've been brought up safely~! I just with that their parent (or someone) could have shown them a little bit about being... just about CONSIDERING. Taking all of the factors into account before making a decision. That growing-up thing can wait until they're older. Just, please, don't inflict your childishness on folks that are really in need of some aid...
Laa, that is TOTALLY unreadable, but, we're sick and pain-ed [have this blood-clotting thing that's entirely RANDOM-- happened yesterday, we're essentially one GIANT bruise], and must get to work.
All the Best.
