There's nothing like hot chocolate when it's cold outside. When I was a kid, we didn't buy the packs of hot chocolate in the store, we'd make our own - and make a lot.

25 ounce box of non-fat dry milk.
16 ounce jar of non-dairy creamer
16 ounces of powdered sugar
15-16 ounces of your favorite chocolate drink mix.

Pour it all into a large clean paper grocery bag, then roll down the top tightly and shake. Pour some in a large jar, the rest into large ziploc bags. Put 2-3 tablespoons of the mix in your cup and add hot water. Stir well.

And don't forget the marshmellows.

We would make something similar when I was younger, but in smaller quantities. We would also add cinnamon to ours.

Thanks for posting this.  I'm not a coffee drinker, but this sounds good.

Zayda - cinnamon? Gotta try that.
MissMimi - If you used coffee, I'd guess you'd get a mocha. Gotta try that too.

    Very good...uhmm...:-)

My mom used to melt dark chocolate with whole milk and then top it with whipped cream and shaved chocolate and sprinkled with cinnamon....
