Here he is doing a reall good job of mixing the eggs.

And this is a very proud Tigger with the finished product ;-)

His aunty gave him this apron and chef's hat, because she knows how much he loves cooking.  Its too cute - it's got little pirates, ships and cupcakes on ;-)

That's a good name for a cooking show..."Cooking With Tigger".
Tigger may be the next Anthony Bourdain!

Your little chef has a killer smile and a seasoned confidence too.....lol.....so adorable...

Wow polar, I didn't know kids that age could already cook! I know you are very proud. :D
  • dailyachesandpains said on Feb 14, 2008....
Aweeeeee!  So adorable!  Little D loves to help as well as cook herself, but for now, it's just made-up pretend cooking.  I feel like a horrible mother!

Lola, thank you so much - I think he is a cutey too :-)

Skaldikins, thanks friend, I am discovering more and more these days how varied his talents are ;-) (((hugs))))

Pickers, yes aren't they just too sweet?  He also loves dress-up!

U-I, thanks hun!  His aunty is always giving him such special gifts.  She and her husband both dote on him because they dont have kids together ;-)

Twyla, it would be soooo cool if he turns out to be a chef!  Just think of all the creations mom and dad will ge to eat! LOL

Thank you, Infernal, it tickles me too when you can see how chuffed they are with themselves! LOL

Aww, Botbabes, that's so kind of you to say! But currently this chef only specialises in French-fried toast and fairy cakes!! LOL

Quiet, thank you my friend, I think he is naturally talented for cooking too.  He shows an interest without much encouragement from me.

Gingersnap!  Firstly, so nice to see you hunny!  Yes, I do think Tigger has confidence and that is something that we always try to keep in tact. ((hugs))

Lioness, I have involved Tigger in simple cooking from much younger.  For them just to mix the ingredients together is fun.  Remember that for when you have kids one day! ((hugs))

Dailykins!!! Dont feel like a horrible mother!!  Pretend cooking is great too. . .Tigger does that as well!  He has a play bbq set, which he loves.  If you feel brave enough one day, let her do French-fried toast.  All I do is break the eggs in a flat bowl, he mixes it with a fork, he turns the bread in the egg and I fry it and top it with honey, cut into squares and TADAAA! easy!

Quid, thank you so much, that is so kind of you to say! :-)

HH, I dont know who Bobby Flay is, but he must be a big celebrity chef I'm guessing :-)  Thank you, sweetheart!

GG, thanks for popping in. . .it really is fun.  Do you cook with you Little Man?

  • GracefullyGrowing said on Feb 15, 2008....
Polar - Oh yes, but not as often as I should.  Life right now is just not condusive to doing so, but soon that should change and we can get back to it.  I'm looking forward to it!
  • MissMimi said on Feb 15, 2008....
Polarcakes, your little Tiggerbunny is so cute!  Look how proud he is!  (Is that chuffed?)  You're making memories with him that are priceless.

Ohhh polar...I love gingersoul's name for you...Pollie : )  That is the cutest series of photos I have seen in a long time!  I also agree with all of ginger's observations!  What a future-hunk!  He's going to be quite the lady's man!  And a handsome man that can also cook?  Well, dare I say...perfection?  He's a doll.  My kids loved their own little chef's hats and aprons too.  That fabric is adorable!  What a great aunty too!

    Your buddie,

    Truth : )
  • polarheart said on Feb 15, 2008....
Grace, that is good news friend! :-)

Meemsie, yes "chuffed" basically means being really happy with the outcome of things.  Thanks so much for your sweet comment! (((hugs)))

Truth!  Hey, its so nice to see you here!  Thank you for the lovely compliments about Tigger.  He really is a sweety.  He was sitting here with me just now and singing "more than anything, more than anything, I love you Yahweh, more than anything". . .it just blessed me so much!
  • Zayda said on Feb 15, 2008....
Polar: Oh my! What a handsome young man he is. And I think it's adorable that he loves to cook. Maybe you'll make a foodie out of him one day. That hat and apron are just too very cool.
  • polarheart said on Feb 15, 2008....
Zayda, thank you so much :-)  I have a feeling that one day we'll be coming home from work to find that he cooked us a meal for supper :-)  (I HOPE!)  My sister's younger son (now 20) is very much like Tigger, or should I say Tigger is very much like him. . .and my nephew cooks food and bakes for my sister and her husband.  Perhaps Tigs will make a foodie out of me :-)) heehee

  • vacantmind said on Feb 15, 2008....
I love his little chef outfit! He is just too cute in it. My oldest boy has always loved being in the kitchen. Watch out for the experimental phase of boys cooking and always ask about the ingredients.
  • silverwhisper said on Feb 17, 2008....
that's so cool, polar--and he's quite a charmer! :> and let's hope that he doesn't become another bourdain, who's had quite the checkered path prior to his TV celebrity status... :>

note to self: toque and chef jackets might be good presents for nieces & nephews... :>

  • polarheart said on Feb 17, 2008....

    Destiny, thank you so much!

Vacant, yes I am sure the experiments that boys carry out in the kitchen can be quite dangerous!!  I am most certainly keeping my pressure cooker away from him!!!! Can you imagine???!!! LOL

Ed, thanks for the compliment. . .I'm sure your niece and nephew will love their little outfits!
