I wrote a Valentine's Day blog yesterday. Then it promptly lost itself in the madding crowd.

After a few hours of frantic searching, I finally found it. By some unexpected twist of events, I found it playing hide-and-seek among other blogs. It was wearing other clothes, and I barely recognized it. (Long story in the first comment.)

It's ok now, I understand what had happened, and it's all turned out for the best. But I still want to ask everyone: Have you found my missing valentine blog?

If you have, then I'm so glad you came out of it still alive and unscathed. Welcome back to the world of living blogs ... :-)

If you haven't, I suggest that you don't go there, unless you also want to sink into the quagmire of double-anonymous obscurity.

    Long version of story:

Last year, I wrote a blog entitled dj moonriver plays anonymous lovenotes, which invited everyone to post comments anonymously, along the lines of happykat's original anonymous-only (and immensely popular) blog.

I had been thinking of repeating that feat this year. and what better time to do it, than this arguably lovable day in the name of a medieval saint? I have an admission to make: I had wanted this particular blog to reach the Featured Posts' page 1, so it could get more attention.

(There, I've said it. Like others who will or will not admit it, I harbor a hidden hunger for SC popularity... LOL)

But there was one small problem. It turned out that SC no longer factors in the number of anonymous comments in pushing up the Featured Post ranking of blogs. Which meant that my anonymous-posts-only blog will always be relegated to the netherworld of un-featured blogs hahaha. Namely, on page 5 hahahahaha.

A number of other bloggers eventually found my "lost blog" and posted anonymous comments. Of course I don't know who they are, except for Lucy and Grace, who posted non-anonymously, and Destiny, who posted in her unmistakable style.

The comments were not what I had expected, but they all turned out well-thought if not excellently written, and for that I'm very glad.

Life's lesson no. 17: Love notes never get lost and forgotten. They only get side-tracked. Sometimes for a while. Sometimes forever.... :-)

So I ask the question again. Have you seen my missing blog?

I saw it, moon, and in a whirlwind of strange emotions, I may even have commented. It's hard to keep up with stuff like that when you're a spaz! ;-)

I love that post and its earlier incarnation.

    I sought for Love

But Love ran away from me.

    I sought my Soul

But my soul I couldn't see.

    Then I sought You

    And I found all three!
