Has anyone knowingly ever dealt with a narcissist?  What made you feel this person had these traits?

When you deal with a narcissist you know it.  Everything revolves around them.  They will go to extremes to keep the focus on themselves.  They have an insatiable need for recognition and praise.  They never take responsibility for their actions.  When confronted they will side step or redirect the issue to avoid having to deal with their issues.

Yeah. . . what Uniquely said. Especially the . . . "They will go to extremes to keep the focus on themselves" part.  The extremes are usually not pretty.

UI....Does this include an over-blown sense of entitlement?  Your paragragh describes my ex to the tea!  And in that order LOL

I was told he was a narcissistic ass.  But that came from a non professional.  However, I looked into it and BINGO!  The characteristics are him to a tee.  It seems his entire family is this way, they cut you off every time you go to say something and talk over the top of you.  They even do it to each other.  Holidays were real entertaining ;)

If only entitlement was their only issue!  Yep, you were married to a narcissist.

I learned the hard way what it was like to deal with a narcissist.  She was a real piece of work.
