The Prayer by Celine Dion / Andrea BocelliI pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go.
And help us to be wise in times when we don't know.
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way.
Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe.
These are the lyrics of "The Prayer" as sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. This is a super great song most specially if you've seen the music video as sung by these two outstanding performers.
So when I heard this being played by the funeral car as we made our way to the cemetery, I thought that using it as a theme song sort of took the mystique off from the song. But when you analyze the above lyrics, you'd think it was written for a funeral rites theme.
I would like to re-write it this way; this is FD's version of The Prayer
I pray you'll never tire, to watch and see us growEnlighten us at times and guide us where to goThis to You we pray, we'll never go awayLead us to Your Place, grant us with Your GraceBless us with Your Love always! Now if you were to re-write the lyrics of "The Prayer" how shall you compose it? Or if you'd rather tell me, what is your prayer?
