I know that would pull you all in today: especially all those who normally do not read me. I forgive you.

Anyway, with the home mortgage loan and homeowner foreclosure fiascoes, the economy slipping into a depression that a stimulus plan may not rectify, and the piling debt from the prosecution of the surge to Iraq, Afghanistan, and maybe soon Pakistan, Iran, or Serbia, US President Bush needed something positive to cheer about.

He is the first President ever to submit a budget to Congress on a laptop computer!

[...."I just met with my Cabinet, where we discussed a lot of issues. And one issue we discussed is the budget. I submitted the budget today to Congress -- it's on a laptop notebook, an e-budget. It saves paper, saves trees, saves money. I think it's the first budget submitted electronically. And it's a good budget. It's a budget that achieves some important objectives."....]

Wow, yippee....technology at work..... that's really an awesome innovation in the midst of the chaos of the War on Terror. Jokes apart, considering the number of paper copies that would have been necessary to distribute the 2009 budget physically to both houses of Congress, it really is a significant achievement.

Let me save you some paper, help to reduce the effect on the environment of global warming too, and save some trees at the same time, by showing you the proposed 2009 US budget.

Let's hope some hackers don't mess with the figures before and after it's approval:

Bush is seen as dictatorial by many around the world, due to his strong anti-Arab and imperialist goals along with other stances: his support for religion in politics, his pro-life stance, his anti-gay stance, his rejection of divorce, his hypocritical support for stem cell research when he is pro-life, his inability to crack down on militancy in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine, his lack of focus on the peace process, his genocidal campaign against Iraqis, his anti-free speech stance, rejection of environmentalism, affirmative action, mishandling of Hurricane Katrina, borderline racism towards African-Americans, excessive tax cuts, failed health care solutions, anti-gun control mentality, etc.

THIS IS WHY THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

cotteralladams: hello. Wow, I guess you have packaged him well and ready for sending back to the ranch already!

I agree with you but unfortunately, the religious right is so conservative that they would not fit in elsewhere and would be shoved out of everywhere else. ;)

I've had a lot of debates with neocons over the definition of torture and now I'd like to pose a question to the SC community. Is this torture?...
In a controversial move, the Minnesota State Elections Board has decided that Al Franken defeated Norm Coleman in a race that had Coleman ahead originally and now is being contested by the Coleman camp.
This leads me to my point :...
