So, I get to be the first one who puts my name to this, huh?

Okay, God Almighty, I have a bone to pick with you!

I am sick and tired of all of this snow, and other bad weather around the country, so how about you knock it off okay?

You got our attention, now quit it!

    Thanks, your loving servant, dee......

Depends on how ya look at it I guess.

I see what looks like great hunting area.  A place teaming with life just beneath the surface being slowly fed with the breakdown in the forest floor, the roots begin their job in absorbing more to push life out of long frozen limbs and into the sun.  I see a woods that gives life to many plants and animals, shelter to the newborn creatures about to take place in the next 30 -60 days. A woods awash in the shade of winter that will shine with the caress of spring.   I think it looks just fine actually.

Remember, when I posted this piece to my blog?  This was five storms ago. I would definitely say that Kansas has had enough this year.

"We Got Hit Hard By The Stom"

JR & I are staying temporarily with our daughter's family. We are without electrical power, and phone service.

The Storm that Hit The Midwest, hit us very hard. Our entire yard is full of branches, and one pulled out the power lines, and the telephone lines. Our entire town looks like a tree cemetary. Most of the city is still without power, and shelters have opened up around town, for those in need.

Of course, my children called us immediately, and had us come over there to stay. I MISS my internet! So, I came over to my brother's house tonight to write this and let you know what is going on in my life for the time being. I should be back a couple of days before Christmas, but if I don't get back before then. I wish you all a Very Happy Holiday Season.........

They look just like the last two storms that hit us.

Be careful what you ask for. More snow means less drought. A hard freeze kills a lot of insect eggs. And snowballs are easier to clean up than mudballs.
  • pickersplock said on Feb 08, 2008....
Can anybody make any sense out of those last two bloggers?
They don't make any sense at all!
Is it just me, or is that all gibberish?

    Dear Lord,

Thank you for what little snow we've had to help feed our aquefers and rivers.
Thank you for the few weeks of cold that keep the insect population that ravages our trees and gives us itchy bites under some degree of control.
If you wish, send us some of their cold and snow.
