Just got out of a meeting with my General Manager. He's moving forward on a few things and wanted to update my team. Unfortunately, one of the updates is that my team is definitely going to be less one person, beginning tomorrow afternoon.
The draftsperson that is planning on moving is going to be let go. We will be giving her a small severance package, since it is technically a lay-off. But after tomorrow, she won't be here. Joy. So much for keeping up with deadlines...
And on top of that, I have been told that our new engineering support is starting Tuesday of next week (taking over the conveniently vacant computer station in my office). Guess who gets to "train" that person. Like I really have time to be doing all this on top of everything else?!...
And people wonder why I am so stressed at work!
(Note to self: Buy another stress ball!)
