Yes it's true! Read Ezekiel Chapter 1.

 

In Ezekiel chapter 1, Ezekiel saw a huge unidentified flying object which do not exist in his time, so he had a hard time figuring it out - like for example, light bulbs do not exist in Ezekiel's time so anything that emits light he could certainly describe as torch ( and if it is colorful- he described it "like a rainbow"). It even seems that what he described as a lightning is like the light used by fire-trucks and ambulances. But it is certain that what he saw were huge metallic objects, transforming by manipulating its parts specially their wings. They even seem to combine like the anime - Voltes Five or Voltron- where it appears that there was a cockpit in the forehead of the transformed creature, and that there was a pilot seating on it.
