  Okay, there are two ways you can subscribe:
  
  
  1. When you click on the name of another blogger here, there will be a link by his/her name that says subscribe. Simply click on that link.
  
  
  2. Or, when you read a blog post by someone else, at the bottom of the post, just above the area where you can type your comment you will see a "subscribe to name" link. You can click on that link to subscribe.
  
  
  Yes, you can comment on someone's blog even if you aren't subscribed to them. I just commented on your post. I subscribed after I commented.
  
  
  Subscribing means that when someone you are subscribed to posts a blog, you will see that blog under "My Users" tab--up at the very top of the page.
  
  
  When you comment on someone's blog post, that post will then show up under your "My Conversations" tab.

  Thank you, Zayda. I guess I was making it more complicated than it is.  When I looked at my blog above the comments where I expected to see the words subscribe, it says "send to a friend", so I thought, How do I subscribe to other people's blogs?  Thanks, for subscribing too, I am going to subscribe back to you, ok?

  Yeah, for your own blog posts it will say send to a friend. And once you have subscribed to someone, it will say send to a friend on theirs as well where it once said "subscribe to" at the bottom of the post.
  
  One of the things you might want to do is check out all the posts with the 4newcomers tag.  Those post have lots of helpful advice in them for people new to Soulcast.
  
  The best way to get people to read you and comment on your blogs is to start reading and commenting on other peoples' blogs.  That way you make yourself known.

  welcome to sc humorkat. the controls on this page can seem a bit daunting at first, but as with anything else, if you just use them a bit, you'll catch on pretty quickly. there are some controls just above the comment box with icons. the one with the bluegreen globe and infinity sign will bring up a box where you can highlight a particular word in a comment, click the button and place a link to another site, either here or anywhere else on the net, by copying and pasting the url from your browser's address bar like this. the box next to it is to break that link. beside that is a button that will allow you to place the code for a youtube video in a comment. next is a button that  will let you put a link to a picture you post on your flicker site, if you have one. i hope you enjoy your experience here at sc. :-)

  I didn't even see this when you first posted it. I would have told you. I had the same problem when I started. People were subsrcibing and I didn't know how to subscribe back. Glad you got the information you needed.
