Who's reading peaceangel (2):
If I were to walk up and introduce myself to you, " Hi, My name is peaceangel , hows your day going? " You answer good, fine, could have fast forwarded threw this one. etc.. and we realize were going to the same place and began to small talk and I asked you to tell  me about yourself, what would you say?
Most would reply," Im a teacher" or ", I work for the phone company, "  Im a nurse " Iob Im a mother of 2 boys,". I live in..., " My parents are.. " My kids are ..."  Im sure you get my point.
All normal responses.

Now, Lets say you have a Job Interview, this is the position you have waited for so long.
At some point in the interview more likely than not you will be asked " Tell me about yourself". You may reply, I can master any computer program, my skills are...., I have 2 children..., Im loyal to my employer., etc.

Youve answered the question or have you ?

You have given me bits and pieces of what you do, or what your skills are, who your kids are, or maybe who your parents are, where your from, what your job is, but I still dont have a sense of WHO you are?

Now if I asked you to tell me about yourself would you think to say, My favorite food is pizza, Nickleback is my favorite group, I go to church and have a strong belief in God, Springtime is my favorite time of year, I love to fish, etc.........

Now I know things about you, not what you can do, who your family is, etc. not that you cant add some of that information in, but use the opportunity to tell about yourself. It will give you a connection with the person your talking to.
If you use it in an interview ( or anytime you want to make a good impression and stand out)
you are going to be the one who seems more confident, that you know who you are as well as what you can do, youve opened the door to something they may relate to, which will make you stand out more than others.

This is a tried and true method, and i just felt like someone needed to hear it out there, because there trying to stand out in the crowd. So Good Luck !
Just please dont respond and say you were trying out for American Idol ! LOL

Now - Tell me about yourself!

Ok.  You asked for it.  ;~P  This is my "standard profile"

I'm attempting to age with the utmost grace and wisdom I can muster. I certainly enjoy the concept that at least in this phase of life I'm old enough to know better and young enough to enjoy it anyway... come what may from my choices.

I admire grace but I have to wonder if I display enough of it. I know how demanding I can be. I also know how loving and forgiving I can be. The only logical conclusion I can draw from that is . . . balance is the key I continue to seek.

I'm quite blunt and sometimes too honest, but that's balanced with loyalty, an open spirit and mind, and a friendly demeanor. I am a bad speller, perfectionistic, too critical, and too often try to cover my personal feelings of need. I'm an exceptionally strong woman and the people around me have grown to depend on that strength. So, it's difficult for me to let anyone see that I have any chinks in my armor because I don't want to let anyone down.

I am a spiritual woman, but not at all religious. My spiritual growth is my top priority. I live by my spirit, and am seeking perfection. If you want to talk about spiritual things, I'm THERE. Everything has spiritual conotation to it. Everything.

I adore . . . .learning, knowledge, my computer, reading (a lot!), painting, camping, hiking, swimming, and many many other things. My interests are wide and varied.

    I think/believe . . .
The purpose of humanity is to learn to love one another,
Bunnies are cute but kids are cuter,
Life is meant to be lived to the fullest,
Music is the language of the spirit,
And agree with Arthur Schopenhauer when he said - "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

    I despise . . . shopping (yes, REALLY),
having my picture taken (with a purple passion),
    dull pencils,
    things sticking out of drawers,
    being walked away from,
people who refuse to live up to their potential,
    and bugs.

I am a realist, with idealistic tendencies. (Figure THAT one out, if you can!) Basically, reality is only tolerable when one can still bring out their ability to see what is underneath the tough exterior. Some may choose to put on rose colored glasses to avoid reality. I put them on to watch the beauty of reality bloom. We all bloom where we're planted. To miss those blooms is the epitomy of waste.
