Britney Spears was taken from her home by ambulance early Thursday and escorted to the hospital by more than a dozen police officers in cars, on motorcycles and in helicopters.

  What a pretty picture Runningbear posted.  I remember her when she looked like that.  What a shame.  It's obvious this girl needs big time help.  I think she's past the point of ridicule and derision... it's time for sympathy, because no matter what she's doing to sabotage herself, no one in their right mind would choose to go down this path.  She can come back from this, given the proper diagnosis and treatment, maybe not to the star status she once held, but who knows?  She's still very young, maybe she's better off staying out of the limelight for a few years.

  I REALLY WISH THEY WOULD LEAVE THIS POOR GIRL ALONE!! i GUESS SHE WAS KIND OF PROTECTED AS A CHILD.... BUT ONCE SHE BECAME LEGAL AGE MAN THEY HAD CAMERAS EVERY WHERE. `opps caps....    Wouldn't it be cool if for every negative comment that a money grabbing photographer or slime paper written.....she had  a neg story about that persons life.....I think they should all be under the spotlight and see just what its like.. I wonder what shady crap they do just to  get all that crud! oooh they make me made......Come to me and Ill give em a crotch shot... then tell the world that they got it because they cheated on their spouse or something like that! ...(well not really..but you get the idea of how much this angers me)

  I was just watching the TV and it is being reported that it was her psychiatrist that committed her.  That she is on what they refer to as a "mental hold".

  What is being reported supposedly by a family member that the diagnosis is bipolar, and hospital treatment is needed to get her regulated on the correct medicine that works for her personally.

  I've been listening some more, and her mother says that her daughter went willingly.  That she had spoken to her therapist earlier that day and told her that she hasn't been able to sleep because her mind was racing, and she couldn't quiet it down.  The therapist felt because of worn down state, she was concerned she might become agitated, and explained how important it was for her to go to the hospital so she agreed.

  This Spears woman (thats right I don't like her,who likes everyone?) hit big time fame and fortune when she was very young,and i don't think she was able to cope with that,if you bump a stable spinning top,it goes out of control. I think of her as a bumped spinning top! I feel sorry for her but more sorry for her kids. A small correction,it is not HER I don't like,I don't know her.It is her image,her conduct and her singing that I don't like. I don't like Madonna either!  sexuality belongs in the bedroom and that is where it should stay! It someone has to strut around half naked on the stage, well....Its that I come from a different era. I am just crazy about people like Cathy Kirby, Connie Francis, Juice Newton and Linda Rondstat.....they never strutted around looking like hookers to sell there music. Oooh...danger,danger rupert!! Brace yourself for a incoming savage attack!!

  Okay Everyone!

  This is my take on Britney.  I like how the News Media has such selective memory about Britney.

  She did not want to divorce Kevin. Everyone seems to forget that. But dear little mummie staged one of her famous little interventions and finally persuaded her that she should leave him.

  Then, that 's what she does, and she finds out that her mother is going over to see the kids under Kevin's watch.

  So, she has a falling out with her mother.

  So, here she is, alienated from her husband and her mother. In the meanwhile the press has turned on her. because she was hanging out with her bff at the time, Lynsey and Paris.

  True, I didn't think that was what she should have been doing, and we know the downward spiral since then, but I'm telling you what set it all off.

  All she ever wanted to do besides being an entertainer was a wife and a mother.  And both of those things have been stripped away from her, and it looks like the entertainer part has too.

  Hey, all of that would have made me bi-polar too!

  This has to be a positive step to take.  With counseling, maybe they will be able to help her deal with all of her personal issues, and how she reacts to the media attention.

  I don't know why we are so influenced by the media. It is like they are "god" or something.  Whatever they comment on goes round and round and round.  I think two of the biggest offenders....and there are many!  Is Showbiz Tonight, and Fox News.

  Crybaby:  This is my take on it...not enough space for everything I could say, I'm sure.
   
  It was reported that K-Fed received a text message while he was out with friends for dinner from Brit stating that she wanted a divorce.  There was footage of him getting a text when out to dinner and walking away from the table (it was in NYC I believe).  Once the divorce started rolling, she started to free fall.  Firing managers,assistants, hanging with the wrong people, shaving her head,alienating herself from her family.  She only recently in the past few months delivered her mother a hand written letter and asked the paps to get it on film.  The letter reportedly said to stay out of her life. 
   
  She hired a "manager" Osama "Sam" Lufti.  He is envious of the attention she gets, but creates it for her.  He is not good for her own health.  Reportedly, he has 2 or 3 restraining/protective orders against him. 
   
  The Paps are her best friends.  She drives around all night hitting up gas stations for snacks.  She's befriended one of them (Adnan is his name)who's constantly on Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.  He has played messages she's left for him on his voice mail for the world to hear.  It's been reported that he's trying to sell footage of her for 2 million dollars. She found him at a gas station and took him in, if you will.  Smart move on her part...I don't think so.  He apparently has a wife who has now filed for divorce.
   
  With this second hospitalization, Sam wanted complete control over her care.  First, ordering doctors to report to him with regard to her care, and not her parent's.  It worked for about a minute, but Sam didn't have power of attorney.  It has been said that a judge may have to decide who has control over her medical care.  She told the doctor that she takes up to 10 laxatives a day, and she's on medication Adderal for ADD.  No mention of any other drugs to treat her bi-polar disorder.
   
  I honestly believe that Britney started to slowly lose control the day that her and Justin Timberlake broke up.  A short lived day long Vegas marriage, a relationship and then marriage to her back-up dancer Kevin.  Driving around with the baby on her lap.  Not showing up for work (or more importantly, court) a horrible performance that was so hyped up for the VMA's and turned out to be a disaster.  The list could go on...sadly. 
   
  I'd be willing to bet that she's never heard the word "No" from anyone throughout her career.  She's alienated herself from just about everyone and the Pap's are her only "friends" and that's sad. 
   
  In my opinion, I believe she has turned herself into this train wreck she's become, and along with the help of others.  I just hope she gets the care she needs and gets well for her boys, if not herself.  They have to be wondering where mommy's been and I'm sure they're going to remember  this time of thier lives forever.  If they ever want to find out what happened when they're older...it wouldn't be difficult.  I'm sure they're not being told "Mommy's sick"...do you think so?
   
  I can't say enough how much I want her to get better.

  I agree!  There are SO many people with the same issues as she has, however, without the money, fame, the public and the flash bulbs going off in their faces to catch it all. 

  Her parent's are now in court to ask a judge give them control over her medical and financials. 

  I seriously don't keep tabs on her, but it's hard not to when it's all right in front of our eyes.  I feel for her and I think she does need a hug!
