Is it really more important that we get repeatedly bombarded with what Paris, Britney, or any one of the paparazzi panty shedding party girls are up to? Rather than all the bloodshed going on over mineral rich tribal regions or letting the poppy's keep growing so the supply of heroin keeps flooding America and keeping addicts in and out of jail likewise leading them back to homelessness when set free? Instead of some rehab and counseling along with maybe a job program our system sets them right back where they picked them up. Why are there no real rehabilitation projects in place that could actually end the cycle of impending doom on our streets? Would that be too difficult America? Evidently it is!
There is no real concern by the average American other than who has what, who has not, and how can I get mine.
We try to do as much as we can with our little ministry which is grass roots street at this point. We don't shove Christianity down anyones throat. We try to put food in their hands to help them survive but we can't shove that down their throat either. All our concerns have no religion invovled in them unless one requests that kind of guidance and we are open to all beliefs as we are all one under the sun.
Now your average American will spend much time and money on concerns such as who is wearing what and millions spent on gossip rags that express lies to make their millions. People buy it. They believe it. They consume themselves with it and still turn their heads on the ones less fortunate then them. The ones truly closer to God, the homeless. And even scoff at their existance as if they are a nuisance while the upper class leave their half empty cup of $5.00 crapaccino setting on the church steps. 2 steps away from a trash can and stepping over the man sleeping on the steps in single digit freezing weather while they are in a hurry to do whatever it is they do wearing $700.00 boots and mink coats.
Maybe I am the one that's confused.
Nobody can solve the worlds problems and everyone should be responsible for their own welfare. It is a fact that some people can't make it on their own without a little help. And for those who need help we have an outlet where you can help us help them to help themselves.
Our ministry is dedicated to helping in as many ways as we can. We are currently working in the Boston area and can use all the help we can get. Primarily donations of money are the easiest to turn into immediate help to distribute food, clothing, warm blankets, and hygiene products. Your donations also may help keep the doors open for drop in centers as well as drug addiction and mental stability counseling.
