EvilTwin's tags:
Just found out this morning that my (relatively new) draftsperson is planning on leaving for another state in a few weeks, just as soon as she gets her tax return.  She said she needs to do this so she isn't around her parents or her sisters, as there's apparently a lot of friction going on in her personal life.  I do understand.  She's got to do what is best for her.  Unfortunately, it sucks for us at the office...

She has been missing a lot of time at work lately for personal reasons, and she's had a target on her back for a potential layoff.  But work has been so busy, we faught to keep her aboard because we need the help.  And she does good work (when she's here), so we've been really trying to keep her.

Unfortunately, the past couple of times she has been out, the other estimator and I have been juggling the load to get things done, and our General Manager made the comment, "Hm.  Maybe we don't need a third person there after all."

AAARRRGGGHHH!

We're already overworked.  I'm already working well over fifty hours a week.  And if/when she goes, we're pretty much screwed.  And she's just told us today that she is plannning on going.  #$%^.

Thank you oh so #$%^ing much.  So much for us encouraging and trying to help her.  So much for us sticking up for her to try and keep her from getting axed.  And so much for getting anything done on time anymore...

So help me, if she developes "Short-Timer's Syndrome", I'm gonna smack her with a roll of prints.  Repeatedly.

I'd squeeze my stress ball, but I broke it last week.  Need to order one from office supplies...  Damn.

    Oh no!

That's awful about losing your draftsperson.  It especially sucks that you've gone to bat to keep her and now she's cutting and running.  Stings a little to help someone and then not see that help pay off for you.  I don't suppose you could sneak in a new draftsman without the bean counter noticing it, could you?

I know it is very frustrating for you. I know the stress you are under. I know it seems like nothing is going right. I know you feel like... and I know it is a paltry thing in comparison to the things that bother you, but I do love you.

Your love is not a paltry thing, dearheart.  Your love means so much to me.  And I love you, Alyss.

I know I've been away for a while...but help me out here, please?  Two evil twins?
    An evil_twin and an EvilTwin?

Greetings Alyss.  I am new to growinggracefully

truth, this is the original  EvilTwin.

evil_twin appeared some time after and is an entirely different person.

I thought about that later Alyss...that this must be why evil_twin often types evil_twin LA.

As far as I know, I was the one and only truthsayer on the internet 13 years ago.  Now type it into your search engine and see all the things and people associated with the name now!

    Thanks for explaining.

Nice to meet the "original EvilTwin".

    Blessings,

    Truth : )

Nice to meet you too, though "original" is not quite what I would call it.  Just the first one here, at any rate.

    Thank you.

a bit of a rant...
a not-so-quick update about my weekend and other stuff...
negotiating with God...
My rants and vents are still too polite. They come across more like angst or whines, perhaps. How do I explain this? I'm too logical and pleasant? I never get angry?...
Thoughts on going back to work, and Sarah Palin....
