Oooh, skald, it's beautiful!  How long did it take you to knit?  I would love to watch you knit.  I knit so s-l-o-w-l-y.
  • skald said on Jan 28, 2008....
Mamie.  Yes it was done with love and now I hope it fits. lol
Mimi.  No I don't knit so fast either and finishing is always a lot of work Always more than you think. I started on Thursday and had to start all over so it was on Friday, two and a half week ago.

skald ~ wow, that came out great! what a wonderful pattern and color!  I don't think that 2 and 1/2 weeks is long at all!  I think Thor will look really good in that blue.

Beautifully done!  I admire your persistance with this.  It turned out very nice.

Hi, That is a beautiful jumper/sweater that you knitted! That type of meticulous knitting is way beyond me! I used to watch a good friend do Aran knitting and wonder how she remembered to count, and your pattern is much more detailed! I went crazy just doing boxes. And I like the colors too. I'm sure your family must appreciate your knitting and the love that is behind it all. Take care, T

You knitted a whole sweater in two and a half weeks?  I think that's pretty darn fast!  I'm impressed.  :)
  • dailyachesandpains said on Jan 28, 2008....
WOW Skald!  That only took you two and a half weeks!
    Beautiful!

I was thinking about taking a knitting class.  I thought it might be a calming experience for me.  My Grandmother taught me when I was real young and I forgot how to do the basics.  I don't know if I could ever make anything other than a winter hat if I do take a class :-)

Quiet.  Yes I hope Þór will look good in it. I have tried it on. It was before I had made the sleeves or sown the shoulders. It was the right size around his body then and he looked pleased at his little tommy with the colorful  patten on, Let's hope it fits.
Uniquely.  Thanks good to see you .
Trinov.  Thanks, so good to see you around. I also make mistakes with pattern and all kinds of things when knitting. lol
    Mimi. Thanks.
Daily.  What ever you make. Hat, mittens, socks, jumper. It is all an achievement on it's own and will  make you glad. You go ahead and take a class. ((((((Hugs)))))))

Awesome job! I can't knit. I can crochet but the knitting just confuses me.
  • destinydiva said on Jan 29, 2008....
I learnt to knit when I was pregnant with my eldest, but was way too impatient to follow a pattern and make something big, I got bored too easily, so I knitted about 50 little squares (took me the whole 9 months!!!) then my mum sewed them altogether so I had a knitted quilt thingy :-) it came out quite good!! i have never knitted since though :-)
you have more patience than me :-) the jumper is lovely xx
  • skald said on Jan 29, 2008....
Wombie.  never too late if you care to learn. But then there are also so many things we can choose to do. lol
Secret.  Thanks I hope he will. He  aksed me to make him a jumper.
    Future.
I don't feel talented but thanks
Vacant.  I wish I knew how to crochet. I don't
Destiny    I think that is great about the quilt. Never mind if you don't have the patience to knit. You might have it later. There are so many other things to do. luv
