This post was inspired by one of Mr. Box’s Friday night questions…”I really wish I hadn’t….”

When I started thinking about that question a whole lot of things came to mind.  Most of them occurred in college.  I don’t necessarily think they are regrets, because if I hadn’t of done them, I wouldn’t have learned from them and would not have ultimately become the person I am today…for better or for worse!  So I guess all the “I really wish I hadn’ts” were learning experiences.

So….I really wish I hadn’t:

Drank so much in college that one night I didn’t even make it into the house, I passed out on the front porch!  I think I was hung over for a solid week….

Lied to my parents so much!

Maxed out my credit cards!  More than once! (Guess I didn’t exactly learn the first time!)

Lost touch with a lot of my friends…..

Painted my bathroom yellow, it looks like American Cheese….

Entered a wet t-shirt contest…I have 2 girls now and I would KILL them if I found out they did something like that!  How kids change perspective, eh?  Plus, I lost a nice Victoria Secret Bra….we won’t go there….

So, what do you really wish you hadn’t?

I really wish I hadn't been such a wuss about what I want. I would have avoided so many mistakes, most of which made me feel less than clean the next day...

Hi tbs....i hear ya...why is it so hard to ask for what we want?  I have the same problem a lot of the time.  I guess we don't want to upset anyone, but in the end we upset ourselves.  :-)  Minnie

I really wish I hadn't done a lot of things! Most of them revolve around drinking too much and making really bad decisions. But I'm laughing about your bathroom looking like cheese. Yellow is not my favorite color either. But the wet t-shirt contest?! That's interesting. I won't ask what happened to the bra....

Oh this is funny! I can relate to just about everything you wrote too.....except the American Cheese bathroom and the wet t-shirt contest.......LOL

But I did have a wet t-shirt problem once.....I went to Magic Mountain in a white shirt and went on the log ride. I got soaked!! And then everyone could see my boobs. LOL! I was so embarrassed but lots of guys noticed me for some reason......I can't imagine why. ;)

So I'd have to add that I wish I hadn't worn a white t-shirt on a log ride!

E.T....yes....most of my "I wish I hadn't's" revolve around drinking too much and bad choices....Except, I can't blame the bathroom on that.  Would be funny if I could though!  And the bra....yeah....that falls under the "drinking too much and bad decisions" category!!!  ( I think it might actually be hanging in a bar someplace!!!!!  ahhhhh!!!)

Nat...I wore a white tank top to an amusement park once...I totally forgot about that!  Definitely have to add that to the list!  I ended up buying a new shirt because it was so bad!!

I was waiting for this post and I almost missed it. But here I am. I remember you mentioning that wet t-shirt contest thing. I think it was on my 'you'd never guess this about me' post.

I can see why you'd want to forget that now, because of your daughters. But I bet you had fun while it was happening. Not many women can say they've done that!

If I had to make a list of regrets, I really wish hadn't started smoking. I also wish I hadn't stolen my dads Firebird when I was 17 and smashed it into a curb. And I have way too many 'I wish I hadn't drank so much' stories to list....

Mr. Box....you stole your dad's car!!!  And crashed it!  OMG....too funny!  I hit the mailbox with my Dad's car....wish I could say I was drunk, but no, I just have "backing up" issues!

And come on...you have to share at least one "I wish I hadn't drank so much" story!!  Please!  ;-)  Minnie

Minnie, my parents had gone out of town and left the Firebird in the garage. With explicit instructions that I not touch it. But I wanted to see how fast it would go.

My joyride didn't last too long. As my grand finale I decided to drag race the car down our residential street in the middle of the night.

I hit a pothole and smashed the car into a curb. I ruined the fancy wheels. And I drove it right back home and parked it and tried to pretend that the damage was already there. My dad must have hit a curb and not realized.

He didn't buy that. And he wrote down the mileage too. There were 14 extra miles on the car. And he asked if someone stole the car, drove it 14 miles, smashed it into a curb, then returned it. I said yes. I'm not a very good liar.

As for my drinking stories, maybe I'll make a post too?

LOL....he wrote down the mileage!!!!  Something tells me he didn't entirely trust you!!!  Seems like for good reason too!  Thanks for sharing!  :-)  Minnie
