Okay, so I confess, I am a McDonald's employee. Grease, chicken strips, "these fries are too cold" customers. But really, usually, it's not that bad and I really enjoy my job. Although, most people think working at McDonald's is one of the worst jobs to have.

So, my question is, in your mind, What is the Worst Possible Job? Either from experience, or just yourself no being able to stand the job itself, or just general opinion....

I'd say house cleaner, some people's messes are just...unspeakably disgusting.

What about you?

My worst job was delivering pizza. I hated it. But in the grand scheme of things, it's probably not that bad of a job. I think one of the worst jobs would be a crime scene clean up person. That would be nasty.

do you ever watch the show dirty jobs? most of those would definitely qualify, if you ask me. :>

I couldn't work in the medical field.

My worst (very short) job was handling a kiddie ride at an airshow. I like kids, but it didn't pay nearly well enough for the eight-hour backaches, the whiny kids, the slacker/rude coworkers, etc. - even on just a few days a year it wasn't worth it. :-p

Oh, but the absolute worst possible job for me would be tarantula keeper or something equally centered around eight-legged creatures.

the worst job i ever had, i stayed at for over 9 years. it wasn't totally about the work that i had a problem with, it was also the constant travel. but mostly, it was the man that owned it. allot of the anger and resentment that i lived with, and in some ways still do, came directly from him.

In bocca.....My worst job ever must have been data entry in this small branch of Sprint.....the very first job i had in the States....

I did it just to pay some bills and put my foot in the American corporate world...it lasted (luckily) only 6 months....i still cringe remembering that claustrophobic room we had to share in 3......the tiny desk i had facing a wall, the obnoxious rude boss and the pointless, repetitive job i had to do 8 hours a day..

It did serve me good though....but...never again....flipping burgers would be better, believe me....

Curious....why did you choose your username?

Do you know what it means?.... I do....;-).

My worst job ever was probably working at Burger King when I was in high school. Ugh..the smell of the grease just lingered with you. And you constantly felt like you had a film of grease on your skin.

I used to work in a meat packing house, and I had to clean up after the cattle kill.  I would go in every day, ankle deep in blood and guts.  Ugh!

I hate the job I have now, deli clerk, but I worked one month in an office and thought I'd go nuts!  It was so boring, everyone was so catty...they gossiped about anyone who left the room, all they did was eat all day long, the girl who shared my section of the cubicle never washed her hair...yucch!

i salute you in_bocca! i respect people that can stand to work in fast food.
my worst job was working at Ross. it sucked because i was given the wrong employee id number so someone else was getting paid for my work. i quit that job rather fast and not getting paid was the official reason.
