Remember the evil Pol Pot and his communist dictatorship in Cambodia? He came to power as a consequence of the CIA overthrowing Cambodia and installing a US friendly idiot who would let them conduct war operations on Vietnam. When the US overthrows a government, not only do millions of innocents die but the effect of unintended consequences always shows up.
