I'm a TV nut! I just love it! Series, cartoons, biographies, documentaries, and *drum roll* MOVIES!!! They just seem to drift me off to another world, it makes me forget about things for an hour or two, I find it's a good divertissement for me! I have too many favorites to name! Team America World Police, Lord Of The Rings, Magnolia, Forest Gump, (french) Taxi 1, 2 and 3, les ripoux, LE DINER DE CONS (it beats all amercian/canadian comedies), you'll laugh but I love The Pest! (there are way more but I can't just name them all like that!) When I was a kid my two favorite movies where Annie and the Never Ending Storie. Please let me know what your favorite is, I might just watch it! Marie-Jane

there's a few shows i watch that are IMHO superb: the shield. set in LA, it's about a rogue cop, his team and their misadventures. very dark, very interesting. psych. this just started. set in some southern california city that i don't recall, it's about a guy w/ eidetic memory who fakes being a psychic to do detective work for the city cops. also stars dule hill, formerly of west wing. dirty jobs. host mike rowe goes around the US looking for jobs that make people really, really dirty. iron chef. either the original japanese show or the new food network incarnation, both rock. i'll be doing a separate comment for favorite movies. :>

And am looking forward to seeing Feasting on Asphalt Dirty jobs Rescue Me I don't really catch any of these shows all that often. I rarely have time for TV. Galaxy Quest! Well acted, consistent tone, funny material, touching characters, great editing, state of the art special effects, heart. All star cast and well-developed premise.

I'm a movie freak so it'd be close to impossible for me to name all of my favorites... but... it'll be a sacrilege if i don't mention the one at the top of my list. It's a little known movie shown almost a decade ago about 4 souls who, after their untimely death, have to do the one thing that would have made their lives complete before they pass on. And they do all these with the help of a man who's got problems of his own. It's a timeless and endearing story that never fails to leave me with a tear in my eye. The movie is called: Heart And Souls. Hmmm... that seems to be a good thread to start... "Should you suddenly have an untimely demise and were given the chance to do the one thing that would have made your life complete before you pass on... what would it be?..."
