Today is the last day of my seven-day vacation. I decided to take a vacation two days before and two days after the Martin Luther King weekend. I spent the first half of the weekend preparing for the bitchinest house party ever.

Saturday night, along with the company of my closest friends, was an amazing way to spend my birthday. Technically, the birthday was on Sunday, but Saturday seemed more suited for a party that lasted well into the night. Lots of gaming, in the video and drinking varieties. Great food, courtesy of my father. Awesome music, courtesy of my brother. Well, it wasn't without its problems, when right before the party my brother's external hard drive wiped and took down a couple hundred gigs of music. Ouch. Other than that, and some light drama whoring, everything went as planned.

The latter half of the weekend was just relaxing. Watched the football games, marveled at the Giants' thrilling victory over the Packers, grumbled at the Chargers' failure to knock the Patriots out of contention. Drank some leftover beer while watching American Gladiators. Played a whole hell of a lot of Dr. Mario. Got some writing accomplished. Spent my mornings watching Judge Judy and Jerry Springer. My diet this weekend involved a lot of Chinese food, blue corn chips and my boss' chili. Still got some beer left. Who wants to hang out?

Ugh, tomorrow I have to go back to work. Ah, well. It'll be good to go back right before sleeping until ten in the morning got boring.

At any rate, I'm 22 years old now. Let's see where it goes from here.
